Actually, you will hear about it from Gopher fans, but the fact that he stole $200 worth of pull tabs pales in comparison to conterfeiting $20's. I expect he will get a slap on the wrist from school/coach and be back in the rotation like nothing happened...amazing what a few too many beers (prolly) can do to a guy! WPoS

As for Notre Dame, well we had some yutz over on POI trying to lord over us how much better their program was...he got a few riled, but eventually crawled back into his troll hut. "traditions" inception at all schools are somewhat hazy, I doubt ANYONE can really "claim" to have invented such thigns without seeing some REAL proof of the inventing of some tradition. UND inventing the end of game salute? Adding to the national anthem? Maybe, but I see no more proof of these being invented at UND than some UND fans' opinion on a UND board. About the only thing I know FOR SURE that was invented was the chant that my moniker comes from for the Gopher games. Otherwise whinning about someone "stealing" a tradition...not buying it... WPoS

rumor has it...that our current "third" goalie will not be with the mighty Gophers this next year...so that would put us at a nice number of three come fall...and rumors of JJ POSSIBLY going somewhere else (who knows what goes on in the mind of a goalie tho). WPoS

so how many goalies you guys going to have this year again? I keep on hearing three but seeing about six...you just gonna stack 'em like cord wood in nets or what? WPoS

Why does everyone pick UAA to be dead last?!?!? 1. Gophers 2. Duluth 3. UND 4. CC 5. Denver 6. 'Kato 7. JBSU 8. Tech 9. UAA 10. Red Menace Actually went up to UAA last year for the Gopher games, on their home ice, not actually ALL that bad of a team (too bad they have NOTHING called a student section, much less ANY students at a game, heck I was the loudest in the whole area!). Give them a few breaks, and I think they can beat the BADgers for second to last place! WPoS

ANYTHING that improves the reffing is good IMO...I have said for years to get lower level NHL type refs and actually PAY them for the job they would end up doing, maybe we could get some good refs then... FYI, Gopher fans hate Sheppard as much if not more than most fans! The head tool is all he is! WPoS

who cares about HE!??!? I mean C'MON...there are too many zebras on the ice already, adding one is going to cause problems...mark my words...ESPECIALLY when you get two of the bad ones...but that is my opinion. As for the 4X4 OT, maybe in pros, but I think that will be a bad thing in college play. I think you will see the teams that are a more skating style of play dominate that type of OT. The clutcher and grabber teams will fall behind fast. Let's face it, not every team can get the skating types they need and resort to the clutch/grab style of play (Mav's, Bucky, etc. for example). Leave the OT 5X5 in WCHA, but resurface the ice for chrimmeny's sake, and make it 10 minutes... Hopefully this stuff stays out East and doesn't contaminate the best league in NCAA play...the WCHA!!! Well for what it is worth, my nephew goes to school out there and he told me over Easter that they were going to have a hockey team...heck if Alabama Huntsville can have a program ther eis no reason they can't either?!??! WPoS

a few of the Gopher fans who happen to be Wild fans, imagine that, sent him the Simplson's Nelson sound bite: HA-ha! As to the Av's fans I saw on TV last night, while I don't know any personally, they seem to like one chant and one chant only: Let's go Av's. Every time a Av's player get touched it deserved to be a penalty, but any hit on a Wild player was completely legal and called for. I have NEVER, and I have seen a lot (especially in the mirror), seen such a homeristic fan base. DO they understand hockey at all or are they just there to see "their" team win without understanding you CAN get hit while in control of the puck? I said ove ron POI, revenge is a dish best served cold, this collumist got his ICE cold, the way he deserved. WPoS
