Like I said, not going to get pulled into the argument of which program is greater/better. Both have had their share of succes and failures. Like the tides programs ebb and flow. I would not argue with anyone that UND has one of the top programs in the nation. Just like no one can really argue that both UM schools are also cream of the crop. I just like to think my team is a little better than everyone else's just like you like to think UND is better...it is called being a fan of a team. Also why I like the rivalry between the teams, we both think we are the best. But I still prefer the old Canuck goon squads you guys used to field vs. the more polished program you have now. WPoS

you forget the Gophers have 7 National titles also. Two national titles before the NCAA was formed. Last time I checked 7=7. WPoS

"fans" like this child are the reason UND fans have a bad name in Mpls...odd, about 90% of its posts are on this thread slamming the Gophers, and me...they need to get over their issues with opponents and other quality programs vying for headlines...I won't even argue which program is more succesful, if it knew what it was talking about, it would know the Sioux and Gophers are pretty much neck-n-neck in most repescts of "succes". Forecheck, I can aska round to see if anyone is interested...but I doubt it...POI hockey has been prett empty lately. WPoS

I could not agree with you more. There will always be teams that are always in the top 5-4 of the WCHA (UM, UND to name 2), but some years one of the lower 5 (MTU last year, JBSU a few years ago) pops up and surprises everyone! WPoS

I doubt it...since it has been so hard to get ice to fill up to play the JBSU guys even I doubt there would be enuf interest this year to bring a quality sqaud to play your guys like last year...unless they wanted poor player to beat up on like me... WPoS

agree, one of the neighbors on my street plays for a certain professional hockey team hereabouts and from talking to him for the last year he seems pretty hard working and passionate about playing well every game. WPoS

Fedorov, I am sure there will be plenty of good Sioux fans down here in January. In fact last year I had a good time talking to 4-5 of them at Sally's after the game. Moneyline, no only one pint before the game last night, and why I didn't see the hit is irrelevent...if you can tell me you see EVERYTHING at EVERY game, pick me some lottery numbers. For all I know the guy fell down and hit his knee on the ice, heck, one of their guys almost bit it going into the penalty box... WPoS

Maybe I should have said something like: Was at a game last night, some other team's fan threw something on the ice he took from the home team's mascot. It happened during a injury TO, and I think the the guy is a yutz and got what he deserve when he was removed from the areana. So what does everyone think of people throwing things on the ice? That would have been a bit better than what I did originally. I was sorta tongue in cheeking ( I think, mornings are fuzzy) you guys, but it kinda went BOOM instead. no it is not, but it ranks up there, I mean take it away from Goldy and step on it or what ever, but tossing it with enuf force to make it to the ice seemed kinda intentional, plus add the injury, or it could've easily been during play. Sitting in a "openents" student section you HAVE to expect some shenanigans...I didn't even realise it was a UND fan until someone pointed it out. Regardless of the fan's orientation he deserve the boot, even if he was a Gopher fan. WPoS
