not that it really matters to you all but for perspective: At Mecca a student ticket costs $221 A student "guest pass" costs $658 (used to be the same price as the student ticket so a HUGE increase there) Mecca student tix are sold out every year a long as I remember, but starting last year there were too many students for the alloted seats so they went to lottery picking of the "lucky ones". This year is going to be even worse, i.e.; lots of people will be SOL for tix. If you want to get non-student season tix. The wait list is over 1700 people long and they only take 10-15 people from the list a year. At that rate I will be 130+ years old when my name finally comes up. If you want to jump ahead of the line, you "just" donate $1000 to the scholarship fund and you get your season tix for $658 (total of alomost $1700 per seat. So from that perspective, having assigned seats don't sound all that bad to me...and I have met many good people by being forced to sit by them for a year and maintained several good friendships that way. Unfortunatly, I have had people that were forced to sit in front of me turn and say at game #1, "no not you, you are too loud, I need earplugs!" Poor bast@rds need to stand up and cheer more IMO! so what do your student tix cost you guys up there for the season? Do you guys get the option for a student "guest pass"? One thing I do know having an assigned seat isn't all that bad, unless you are stuck in the hinterlands of an areana! It is nice to be able to tip a few back and not worry about getting a "good" seat. Leaves more time for tailgating and wait-babe watching! WPoS

So many things I WANT to say, so many things I WON'T on the UND board! Things I WILL comment on: IMO, I agree with several of the previous posts about politcal correctness that has creeped into our society to the point of affecting college hockey boards! PC sucks! I think the biggest problem people had with the large banner "incident" was that the Gopher CC's could actually skate! AND went as far as to go on opponets ice! As for some of the big future many predict for the Gophs this year, why not, after all, we are fans with nothing better todo than root for our team and have hope. IMO, the biggest thing ANY team has going against them in ANY year is the single game ellimination at the FF. A bad bounce and you are hosed. Personally, I think the Gophs have a good chance of making it to the champ game, but who knows it COULD be UW and Canisius! Ok, maybe not, but with the way things can go it easily be UND and BC next year. I am not predicting a 40+ game win this year, I just want to get to the FF. A few losses help build a team IMHO. You need the losses to build the character any tream needs to come thru in the clutch. And now, JUST FOR DAGIES: you gag at the three-peat stuff only because we have a chance to do it! first off, I would only pack his chute if bribed! I hate packing, but it is a neccessary evil if I want to watch my jump dollar. Secondly, there is no such thing as a "perfectly good airplane"...trust me I have jumped out of a few that were held together with duct tape and baling wire. Thirdly, MNS, I can now NEVER, EVER have a take off to landing ratio of 1:1 for airplanes...that is really screwed up now...in a way kinda neat! actually I don't prefer hieghts that much either...but 13000 is so high you can't tell anymore! As for the chute not working, that is why you get to have two! Only have used mine 2X in 2000 or so jumps...perfectly safe, would I lie to a UND fan?!?!? WPoS

actually counterfeiting $20's is a FEDERAL FELONY. This is what people go to FEDERAL PRISON for, not just paying a fine. You cannot compare this to alleged payoffs to any sports player, FEDERAL offenses are much more serious.. So before you go off and rip on my post, re-read it, I was not ripping Brant, I was merly stating if nothing was done to a counterfeiter, stealing a few bucks won't even be a speed bump. WPoS
