How much latitude do our QB's have when it comes to play calling? Is everything signaled in from the sideline?

I don't think a lot of people expected to go to Frisco this year, especially since the road would probably be through Fargo. HOWEVER, I think we all expected a first round bye in the playoffs and then probably one victory. Not unreasonable at all.

I hope nobody leaves, certainly not the promising younger guys, but you also have to remember what happened in the last years of the Muss Death Spiral. If the players think the coaches can't right this quickly they start getting nervous. Just saying don't be shocked anyone if it happens.

How was the QB protection on Saturday? I'm hoping it's good enough that we don't get Zimmerman injured. The way things have been going this season that has to be next on the list of probabilities.

I agree, Zimmerman is the obvious choice if Studs is out next week, but I do have to wonder, was he playing against Montana's 2 and 3's rather than the starters like Heidelbaugh? That clearly would inflate his numbers some. I wasn't really paying attention to who Montana was playing in the second half.

This was my big fear and unfortunately I was right.

As good as that kid is, do you really think he'll stick with NDSU? By signing day an FBS school will snatch him up. He already had an offer from NIU I believe.

That's huge. I just hope he's fully recovered and not just being pressed into service out of desperation and he gets re injured. That would be our luck.
