I thought this was just another game for them and the coach didn 't think it meant anything. Also heard from a friend of a friend that he did not pass UND academic standards and had to settle for Moo U.

The reality on scholarships was that only a few universities were funding at the full 45 scholarship level, Moo U among them. Once they reduced the number of scholarships to 36 for everyone the field got much more competitive.

Here's the rub - this is our fan site, we should be able to express optimism without having arrogant, antagonistic trollers hovering over every comment. I realize that they've been here for years and their lot in life is to live in a perpetual stage of insecurity. The light at the end of the tunnel is that UND will beat the Cow College (we had our own 12 year run not that long ago) and many will disappear.

So you'll be on board for UND making the playoffs if we go 7-4 or 6-5 because we have the toughest schedule in FCS and all of the losses will be quality losses? Oh and after a quality loss UND should be moving up in the rankings.

Wouldn't it be nice if another rookie quarterback had the same kind of game on September 7th. (But seriously one player does not win or lose a game and SDSU's quarterback is gonna win more than he loses). Damn that would have been a nice win for the MVFC.

Lot tougher schedule this year - however we have a talented team and all we need to do is play to level of our players, which we did not do in the last four games last year. Expecting 7-4 and playoffs (also expecting to have to break out the long johns for tailgating at the last two home games)

I agree that it would be nice to get more interest from people at the air base but handing out tickets rarely results in those tickets being used - people take them because they don't want to be rude by saying no thanks.

Love the students and want them to attend - just hope the message got out that leaving huge trash piles behind in the parking lot after tailgating is a poor reflection on them.

I would say that the percentage of students interested in any UND sport is single digit (14,600 students).

Really have to wonder why these passes can't be printed out much earlier in the year.

Check the history of the Big Sky in the time UND has been a member there is annually one team that falls after a great season - unfortunately one of those years it was UND. If the tradition continues then one of the teams that are predicted to be top three won't be there at the end of the year.

You forgot to thank The Flagship University of North Dakota for stepping up and making this game happen at a time a few years ago when SU administration was still sitting in the corner with their hands folded vowing that the game would never happen on their watch. Still wonder what drives SU fans to take the time to come here when they have so much to talk about on their own board. Oh I forgot it's that you add such great outside opinions to the conversation.

It was a joke - how many times have we faced a back-up quarterback, sometimes even third string and seen them have a an all conference player type game - it happens almost annually.

Not to wish anything bad on Kett but maybe it's our turn to have a back-up quarterback turn into an all conference performer.

Shakey's Pizza closing a few years ago might also have something to do with the weight loss.
