It seems Berry has officially dubbed this teams "special" (as per post game interview)/ Have we reached a point where we as fans can take a deep breath and allow ourselves to acknowledge that this is a really good UND team?

Can someone clarify why a school offers to a kid who has already "committed"? I know UND has other schools working on our committed students. What is the purpose of a student committing if they continue to be recruited by other schools?

My thoughts both real world and philosophically: 1. There are definitely more studs out there than su has scholarships. 2. The fans with the "we can't compete" mindset need to change their mindset. We have a great facilities, a solid fanbase and strong tradition - stop comparing. 3. The schools do not recruit the same territories entirely - yes there is some overlap but there are lots of studs out there. 4. Coaches continue to do their homework and go after kids - su does not appeal to every stud (believe it or not). 5. Pressure needs to be put on the administration to put more resources into sports other than hockey. There is more...

You really need to put su somewhere in your nickname so those who don't know can have some context to your "concerns" about our team.

Pretty sure he was only offered a FBS scholarship four days before signing day. This is a hypothetical conversation that isn't worth the time.

History has shown this not to be true. Just wondering how you find time to monitor UNI and SDSU fan sites so you can defend every su comment made.

Yah I'm sure you were equally irritated when the state was made to look piss poor when on the eve of last year's national championship game it was revealed there was substance abuse in the SU locker room and a starter was dismissed but the local media covered it up until after the game. You may be 27 in years but no way in maturity.

And we all know what 2 years of not making the playoffs gets you in Grand Forks - a new scoreboard. I know you are stirring the pot but you know that no one is popping champagne in the UND football program.

Doesn't the hockey team has their own food program? Not starting a hockey vs football war but couldn't there be some cross over between programs?

If NS has played all their home games at this facility then the tents aren't a new thing and are no doubt more than a MASH unit set up. It made for some pre-game fodder but not an issue for the game performance. We need both lines to have some success, and no turn overs, we have the talent to win this.

Someone there needs to start the chant "We want 10.

This board has the most arm chair coaches and arm chair athletic directors in the NCAA. UND submitted a very substantial bid, time and resources were spent getting donors, in the end we were matched up with a team that bet the farm to host a game. The reality is our fan base has not shown that much support for big games and with a 2-game hockey series in Minnesota combined with the Saturday after Thanksgiving the table was set for low fan turnout. Now some are questioning Chaves - if you've ever met the guy you know he's on the ball. Let the trolls do the trolling not our own fan base.

How does a person get a message to Sports Illustrated to submit this as a "Signs of the apocalypse" listing that they have each issue? Signs of the apocalypse: The NCAA chose Nicholls State, Thibodaux, Louisiana to host an FCS playoff game. Their stadium has no locker rooms, showers or bathroom facilities for visiting teams so they are setting up tents.

Not dissing you - just discussing if we "snuck" in. Starting the season it was projected that a UND record of 7-4 with our schedule would get us in. Yes we weren't in the week before projections of the online experts but that was because they claimed they were showing teams based on their current record at the time. We finished the season the way we should have and we got in (and it was not the 24th spot), I don't feel we snuck in.

Just a few that have never-ending negative agenda "because they care" and we don't.

Not according to our visiting su "contributors". I heard there are more pharmacy issues in their locker room.

After reading the pre-announcement article from the local newspaper in Thibodaux it appears they were very willing to overbid to host. They had their CVB and city behind them (not that UND didn't but their alleged $80,000 bid is probably the highest the NCAA received).
