  2. UND has gotten great talent out of Iowa over the years - the guy's a winner and winners bring a winner's mentality - looking good.
  3. Welcome to ND football - assuming you will be attending some home games and can walk around the tailgating site - we'll have something ready for you. Oh by the way the last home game we tailgated it was around 30 degrees.
  4. If he ain't on the US Farm Report he ain't worth watchin.
  5. Had to throw in the last sentence to give the FU trolls their daily opportunity to defend FU's honor.
  6. I think I speak for many when I say that I have no interest in what sports NDSU should/should not add to their program. There is so much to look forward to in UND sports in the coming years to focus on. Whether or not the two teams end up playing in football also is not as high on my list as it was 10 years ago - our football schedule is once again one of the best in the country. The history books show that UND owned SU the last decade they played, owned them over the course of the rivalry that book can close.
  7. Like FU doesn't fire coaches - just another day defending the honor of FU. Now who's going to make sure the player/criminals "get their day in court"?
  8. So B.D can you share the infactuation with the Big Sky and the need to have a Big Sky conference meeting thread at BV - other than the ongoing need to feel good by putting UND down. Do you think there would ever be a MVFC Meeting thread in Sioux Sports?
  9. I knew Roger when he was a young, single graduate assistant at UND (along with Rob Bollinger)- full of wise cracks he had a great sense of humor and was well liked by the players and fellow coaches- grew into an offensive genuis and great coach.
  10. Wow you earned some points there - the lunatic fringe likes to say that UND is no longer a rival and SU has moved past us. Now if you can avoid making troll-like references we could actually have a discussion. (I may have to take you off it "Ignore" to make it easier to chat).
  11. So I assume you have the same number of posts on your real rivals sites - SDSU, UNI? You are busy.
  12. Just passing on my experiences like you are, every team has extreme fans. However I must point out I'm a UND fan on a UND site I'm not going over to bisonville and telling them how bad their reputation is as fans. You see i have no interest in SU fans or what they say and I don't feel the need to daily go over there and refute every comment made about UND - that would be a full-time job.
  13. PJ tweeted that Arizona Christian is his new home.
  14. I use the term FU on this fan site only when dealing with trolls. It is not a term that is in my daily word usage nor would I ever say "SU Sucks" to a person I just met - these were middle-aged professionals by the way. I will say that over the years it has become easier to develop a dislike for the school in general because of the lunatic fringe that posts here and the arrogence school officials display in the media - the recent letter to the editor that slipped by the Fargo Forum makes that point. I would classify the lunatic fringe as a person who posts on other schools websites with intent to stir the pot, wears clothing about another school with derogitory slogans, starts chants about other schools when not playing that school, goes out of their way to post negative comments about another school in public chat rooms - none of which I do. I am a UND Fan which makes NDSU a rival and thus fair game for poking fun at - and they make it so easy.
  15. Sorry but you seem a little two-faced - you come to a UND fan site to troll but then claim to be the victim. I have a hard time seeing that you wouldn't be the type of FU fan that isn't an instigator or might say something a little controversial when you were attending a UND/FU game. You are probably the type of FU fan that I have had to sit behind - I don't throw food I let the play on the field speak for me, The last 10 times UND and FU played in football I heard a lot of BS from FU fans - some of it insulting and arrogant. I left a majority of those games happy with the end result. Several times over the years I have been introduced to someone in a social setting and when alma maters came up and mine was UND and their's was FU without missing a beat they said "Sioux Suck". Now no matter what my feelings are about FU (shown by my use of FU) I would never feel it was appropriate to immediately say something derogatory about the school five seconds after meeting an alum of the school. Can't remember the last time I heard UND fans cheer abot FU unless they were playing them - seems to be reported that it happens quite reguarly from FU fans. I have attended numerous UND events and always see the guy that felt the need to wear an NDSU shirt - looking for trouble? Hoping someone says something so they can run to bison-swille? Based on my experence UND envy permeates FU fans and thus the need to always put UND down.
  16. I can say the say thing from my perspective so what's the point - rivals treat each other badly - ever read about the Auburn/Alabama fans or the Oklahoma/Texas fans - there are bad seeds everywhere and many of them troll other teams fan sites trying to stir up trouble.
  17. Oh yah all FU fans are perfect angels - don't get me started on FU sportsmanship - that issue goes both ways.
  18. Don't let facts get in your way. UND had an invite for a visit from MVFC Summit at the same time they had an offer from the Big Sky. UND needed a conference for football - Big Sky offered it all. Of course FU trolls now say they didn't want Big Sky anyway - after being turned down twice.
  19. I believe the excuse train has left the station - it's been said many times, UND is willing to restart the rivalry based on what's best for the state - not because of issues in filling their schedule. How's that "negotiating power" at FU helping fill their schedule, UNDs is just about full and no DIIs or Mothers of Mercy on it? If all schools stopped playing each other because of what a few stupid fans might say I doubt there would be any rivalry games anywhere. Small time thinking is it's a "Better Geographic Fit" (or the reality of you found a conference that would take you). Big time thinking is what conference brings more to the table, is more stable and best fits the profile of the school. UND had choices.
  20. Me too but if those scenarios were to happen you know what the repercussions would be.
  21. Finally something we can agree on. It would be nice to be able to have a few conversations that didn't feel adversarily.
  22. Okay but if a group of students were to show up at any UND event wearing the Siouxper Sober shirts - I think there would be a ruckus. What if they were shown on Facebook wearing the Siouxper Sober shots and taking shots at a local bar? Perhaps everyone should get a Siouxper Sober shirt and we should have a Siouxper Sober night at a hockey game next year - think there would be any double standard there?
  23. Sioux Falls - transition year game would you like to go back and review your transition years schedule.
  24. I stand corrected however it does appear like the shirt was being used to promote sobriety and if it's being done by Native Americans then we have the double standard again. it's okay for them to do it but not okay for anyone else. Hope the Herald picks up on this.
