The Big Sky Conference needs to set some expectations if they want to claim that every game is available online - no audio til half-time and now the video feed locks up. Regarding the game I'm sad to say it but this does look like the #9 vs #11 teams in the conference - I'm hoping they improve over the course of the season.

There will be more comments on siouxsports bitching if we lose, then posts cheering if we win. It's just easier.

I agree with your thoughts but having a new name/logo would not have prevented what happened last spring or in the future nor will it remove UND from the blame game because the source of the blame game continues to exist on campus. Ironically they have their own private building on campus built with public tax dollars. And while they shouldn't even be on the list of organizations having a say in the name you can bet they will be very vocal (and I"m betting that they will find some way to have a problem with any name that even remotely could be referenced back to Native American culture.)

Thunder would be considered for all those reasons - Thunder won't be considering because it's too close to "The Thundering HTerd". Still not clear if not choosing a nickname, other than North Dakota, is acceptable. Based on what the Native Americans who protested on campus said not choosing a name isn't acceptable to them (because it allows Fighting Sioux to remain as the subversive nickname.)

We all know the point - it's the daily reminder that the only way UND can get a recruit is if they can offer more money than FU - here we go again.

I was thinking that must have bothered the Moorhead coach a lot - what kind of restrictions are there on what he could say to Lawrence - technically he is very much an FU booster. (says a lot about Lawrence's character that he chose UND knowing what he was hearing probably daily from his coach.)

Ag school trolls probably don't know much outside their 40 acres. St. Thomas is one of premiere private universities in the Midwest. It's a total package for student athletes who aren't just focused on playing football, some are drawn to the academics also.

I say we have all three - Molberg's injury might keep him on the sidelines for awhile longer, tough break nice kid. So really it will be Bartels and Studsrud fighting it out for the starter. Bartels caught a bad break it would have been nice for him to have the last three games to show his stuff. Hope he sticks it out - he seems like a team player plus he's 3 years invested in his education at UND. Remember at UND the players are there to get an education for life, not putting in time to later become petition signature gatherers and late night Best Buy clerks.

I would say that the change over from those that were on the field at the spring football game and the start of the season was at least 30% if not higher. I don't believe any of the FBS drop downs were at spring ball.

Actually Bradley would be considered an FU booster by definition - and until a player is on campus I don't believe a booster can make any kind of contact - but there must be a loophole or the NCAA is too busy chasing down UND players wearing Sioux pins on their jackets to take issue with it. Violations are to reported to the school's compliance office.

It's all a part of making the quarterback's mother the second most uncomforable person in the stadium. In just their first year we did a pretty good job of that - Big Sky quarterbacks aren't used to that.

For all we know we would be getting 2-3 moderators for the price of one (joking).

We should be able to discuss FU on a UND fan site without having hordes of FU fans responding, defending and deflecting every comment. I would be very willing to take on moderating. However know that my philosophy would be that this is a UND fan site, created for UND fans to discuss UND sports. Guests are welcome as guests not as trolls living in the basement. It's part of the perpetual inferiority complex - even when things are going great they just can't stop themselves from having to look over their shoulder. You NEVER hear a UND crowd shout Bison Suck at an event that does not involve FU. (And don't come on here and share that you've heard it - well it doesn't happen weekly. like at FU.) I have met FU alumni more than once and when they found out I was a UND grad they very unprofessionally said "Sioux Suck" now tell me how professional or friendly that is to say to someone you barely know - it's ingrained in their phyche.

Oh yah like there's never been an FU recruit that made a mistake BEFORE they got on campus - most make the mistakes after they get on campus - but it seldom impacts their status.

It seems like many of them do need to come here regularly for their positive affirmation from us.

Most players in the Misery Valley Conference were also done at Thanksgiving.
