That 5-1 loss was obviously embarrassing. I'm not on the "Fire Hak" bandwagon yet...but let the season play out and we'll see...

That's kind of the way I see it too. However, I do see UND having a chance next year. It doesn't mean I would pick them to win, but I won't write them off either.

What an avalanche of upsets yesterday! I even stayed up late and watched Utah knock off UCLA. I can't remember a bigger day of upsets in big boy football. A lot of fun.

Going off topic here, I was kind of surprised that Western Illinois made it so close. I'd still be surprised to see FU lose a game, much less two, this year. I don't believe in "moral victories" myself. Whether it be UND for coming close against Montana or even Western Ill coming up close in yesterday's game. However, i do believe I am seeing a trend in UND's football program. The biggest is in not giving up and following a game plan laid out by a competent coaching staff. If this continues, the gap between UND and Fargo will grow smaller in a relatively short period of time.

Good effort. I think UND is making progress. It's good to get excited about this game, but...it's still a loss. I still hope we can end up with five wins.

To be honest, it would be nice to see the four schools from North and South Dakota along with the Montana schools in one conference. Add Idaho and Idaho State...there's 8... go to 12 with Portland State, Cal Davis, Cal Poly and ???Northern Colorado??? (only to give me a close venue to see UND play...)

It's time. I hope they come up with an acceptable name that can be adopted by this coming spring/summer. I just have serious doubts that any of the names we have been bringing up will be on the final list. Here comes The University of North Dakota Blizzard or something else incredibly stupid.
