I would bet that if you took a vote of all North Dakota HS players as to which arena they would prefer for the state championship, the Ralph would easily come out on top. Why wouldn't they want to play at the greatest hockey arena in the USA, if not the world. (note the lack of a question mark.)

The common opponent that Wyoming and North Dakota had last year was Montana. When stats are compared, that would be a fair way of comparing the two teams. But, it will be a year removed.

It was always fun watching intramural hockey at UND. You're right, there were always about two lines that were damn good, then the talent level would drop off a cliff. Always a few guys that would play for a frat team for a year or two after getting cut from the UND varsity squad... Does this club team have a website?

They have teh hockies at FU? I suppose in the future, they will eak out a win against the UND Club Team. Then, they'll act like they do at CSU in Fort Collins when their club team beats Denver's club team...as if they beat the storied program. I have proactively anticipated their dumbassery.

That was a great documentary. I always assumed Soviet hockey was always about the system and nobody had a real passion for the game. The founding coach Tarasov changed my perception of that...at least in their earlier years. He was an impressive man. When Tarasov's daughter was introduced in the documentary, was there any mention of her credentials? I didn't see any. One thing about Wyoming's defense last year was that it was slow in the secondary. They would get burned repeatedly for big yardage, or they would get burned in short passes because they were playing too far off the line due to their lack of speed. (No, I'm not a football expert like GeauxSioux...) Their recruiting class was ranked last in the MWC this year...which is no surprise. But, Bohl does have a way of finding players, so it would not surprise me if their secondary is much improved this coming year.

You guys will love Laramie. Nice town. Beautiful campus. Great stadium setting. And, yes...I will be cheering UND over my other alma mater, UW.
