Yeah..the Power 5 playoffs. They should just take the rest of the FBS and move them down to a new division. Let's have some transparency, NCAA! It's a freakin' joke.
-
It's going to be tough for a few years. Hopefully, he will. I think the IPF will probably help recruiting more than a win over a team like San Jose State.
-
Well, Winston just proved why he got the Heisman...
-
Wild game. I'm pulling for Oklahoma State. But, a close game is a bonus!

A lot of UW alumni live in Northern Colorado (about 1,000,000 folks) and Denver Metro area. That is a plus. But, Laramie is at 7220 feet...notorious for early nasty winter weather conditions. Plus, you have to drive over a 9,000+ foot pass to get there either through Cheyenne or Hwy 287 north of Fort Collins. Attendance can be spotty due to these conditions. But, put a decent product on the field, you'll draw fans.

Who is the NDSU that you are speaking of? Never heard of them. There is a big vo-tech in Fargo that has a pretty good football team. Are you trying to confuse me?

I think any school contemplating a move to FBS (At least the current FBS model) needs a stadium that size. However, I wonder what is going to happen with the new Power 5 situation...I think things are going to change drastically for programs like Colorado State, Wyoming, Eastern Michigan, Ball State, etc...

I think around 35,000. But, that's if they add endzone seats. Otherwise, 30,000. Just off the top of my head... It's really a lot of fun there. I'll wear my Sioux gear in 2015. Gotta go with the undergrad school.

I wasn't there. I was helping a friend move here in Ft. Collins. I listened on the radio driving the truck. I'll have to check the boxscore. I did hear that a lot of the Montana tickets were sold to locals. It was almost sold out before the game, but it looked like the weather (thunderstorm, lightning...) kept some people away. I did hear some loud roars when they got their TDs. Plus, a noisy rendition of Ragtime Cowboy Joe. I should go to the Air Force game next weekend!

Okay, I'll put it out there. As if nobody knows... The University of Home Economics 34 Iowa State 14 As much as I hate to admit it, they are probably back as strong and tuning up for #4 in a row...

Wyo bought into Bohl's discipline on the field. The D played very well. The offense is learning the new system, but even if they knew it, it doesn't look like they have a QB that can play that system. MWC games are going to be rough. Montana is a very good FCS team. The Pokes were deeper and better conditioned. Montana was gassed at the end of a game that even had several delays due to weather conditions.

I agree. I can't stand teams that quit. Things won't be pretty this year, I'm not fooling myself about that. But, discipline on and off the field...sidelines too. That is a step in the right direction.

I actually would like to see NDSU win. I've been to Ames. I didn't like it.
-
If we do lose to the University of Home Economics, it's not such a horrible thing. It will make them happy. They have such little else in their lives. Well, except for courtroom appearances in Jamestown.

Mother, Mary & Joseph! Just when I stopped watching.

Okay, I've read enough. You all have good points. But...it's time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-TogGxzlfhM

Ouch... Well, this isn't a good start for the Bubba crew. But, it's only the first game. Gotta build on something.

Saint Joseph State University 42, The University of North Dakota 28. San Jose is picked 5th in their division by most "experts": http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/eye-on-college-football/24648034/expert-predictions-mountain-west A 3-9 season is a possibility for them. This kind of gets me excited about UND's chances. But, I still have a hangover with that Idaho game a few years back. UND stunk it up so bad in a game against probably the worst FBS team in the nation. If Bubba has them ready, and the ball bounces the right way, there could be an upset. I wouldn't go off shore betting on that though!

JHC!!! I just figured out why it takes so freakin' long to get through a drive thru window at fast food joints in the FM area on a fall Saturday. There are 17,000 of their workers that must have called in sick and are at the FU dome!!!

Mark Taylor is a great pick. I wavered between Hrkac and Taylor.
-
We had a "Come to Jesus" moment...
-
College itself: Hrkac. That one magical year was enough to put this one over the top. Overall: Toews. Captaining two Stanley Cup teams. That does it.
-
Not me. The more I think about it, the better I like this deal. Let Bubba use this for next year as a "red letter" day game. Circle it on the calendar and challenge his team. Hey, UND may not win, but if they can make it competitive and show the FCS crowd that they can hang with the "big dog" of FCS, it will only help the program. It is a risk, but it's worth taking. No doubt.

Ah, the advantages of moving from custody in one place to another. Different MAC addresses and less traceable ISP blocks for registration purposes. Plus, having all that spare time for this "hobby"... Oh, it can be helpful to keep registering under different names. I still think Suzy Chapstick should sue him. In a Jamestown courthouse...
