  1. That was actually the opposite of gonadal fortitude. Sitting him in a game that was a guaranteed 40 point win didn’t show anything. Sitting him in a MVFC game or an FBS game would have. Sitting him against Drake didn’t teach Otis anything.
  2. This. UND doesn’t have people that when they get out in the open at the 30 they are gone. Even your speed back in Skokna would get run down by NDSU LB’s Cox and Kazor. That goes for the WR’s too, at least the ones that see the field.
  3. The Spring season got people’s hopes up for the first season in the MVFC. It was a “different” season. Schools were hit by massive opt outs in key positions that are tough to replace. SHSU will not win another championship this year. Last year was unique. I think .500 is probably what you are going to get from Bubba in the MVFC. Just an opinion.
  4. I think SIU is in the drivers seat. They don’t play NDSU this year and will be favored by double digits in every game left on the schedule.
  5. I hear they say if they are looking for success on the field they point to NDSU. They asked Larsen about the MWC and he said no comment. In the past he has flat out said he has not been contacted. They may be some truth to their interest in NDSU.
  6. That is not what people on this board were saying that supposedly were in the know. They were saying UND had a much better shot at Hegerle than most thought. Maybe even an inside track. While I don't think Entz is a great recruiter, thankfully some assistants are and the program kind of recruits itself.
  7. And a different team would be best for him if he wants to play. But a lifetime back up QB in the NFL is a good gig. Chase Daniel has made about $50 million and has started 6 NFL games.
  8. Except that Chase Daniel and the new coaching staff have a long history together. It will be extremely hard for this coaching staff to cut Daniel from what I have heard from Charger beat writers.
  9. So if Lance was a UND player you would have said the same thing about Lance. That is complete BS. I think there may be a bit of envy that NDSU was mentioned multiple times on the NFL network tonight. Nobody has said he has been perfect, but lost is not remotely accurate.
  10. I am saying I hope Toivenen makes it. I hope Olivera gets a shot at the NFL one day soon. I am just saying that saying Lance looked completely terrible and lost out there like SIOUXFAN97 said, is a biased take. The vast majority of national NFL analysts did not come away with that take. I am not sure you could find one that did. My guess is if Lance played for the Kelly Green, SIOUXFAN97’s take would have been different.
  11. We will have to wait and see how Tommy “the gun” Schuster does in 4 years in his first NFL preseason game. Maybe he will look like a seasoned pro .
  12. Take off your Kelly Green glasses. Lance played well considering he is being handcuffed by being told to stay in the pocket and not to run, plus having very little to no time to throw. He had at least 3 passes that were blatant drops. It certainly wasn’t perfect but he was not lost out there. Fields was given the freedom to take off and run if he wanted which made his stay line look much better. If and when the 49ers decide to play Lance in the regular season, the playbook will open up and he can use his legs to his advantage.
  13. Mr. Glass has a piece of paper with lots of numbers on it that says otherwise.
  14. The kid may become a great FCS O Lineman. But he looks like he will need to lose some weight and put on better weight before he plays much.
  15. Depends on what you mean by fully funded. NDSU’s football budget is much higher than UND’s. NDSU’s football budget is closer to a G5 budget than UND’s. Plus the extra media revenue from even the bottom of FBS would make up the difference.
  16. Commenting that Entz’s recruits are turrible, as Chuck would say.
  17. Compare offers from commits to both schools.
  18. Nobody said they did. When the kid tweeted his offers he said he received his first D1 offer from UND. When he tweeted his NDSU offer he tweeted he received a PWO offer from NDSU. Nobody said what UND’s offer was.
  19. NDSU to the Mountain West when the Big 12 takes Boise State.
  20. Noriega committed to a PWO to NDSU tonight.
  21. If Feeney is 6’3 the Omaha kid is 6’5
  22. It is too early to tell but no I am not really nervous. The only kid he has lost other than Dixon, who was a unique situation, so far is Teiken. I think the we will know more in a month. I think he had a good class last year but we won’t know for another year or two. I think they missed on not offering Belquist but I don’t fault them for taking the Omaha QB over Feeney. Looking at them both and their physical abilities and athleticism, the Omaha kid is a much better athlete with a much stronger arm, along with being a couple inches bigger and 25 lbs heavier, not saying which of the 2 has the “it” factor. It may turn out to be a bad decision.
  23. I don’t think either kid had an option other than UND. Not saying that was the right decision by the NDSU staff, but I don’t think either kid had an NDSU offer.
  24. Not sure comparing twins that have not stepped in campus yet with a kid whose brother has been on campus for 3 years is the same. Jamal has been around the players and coaches at UND for 3 years. If you can’t build a relationship in that time you are doing something wrong. Just like it would have been a bad look if Bryce Lance has chosen SDSU or another MVFC school over NDSU.
  25. Didn’t say they didn’t want him. They did, but never really had a chance. The worm has turned in one recruit so far this year, Teiken. It is about one a year on average. That is one slow turning worm.
