there are 15 CHL players over the age of 20. Your allowed to once you claim waivers to another team that offers you 2 spots for 1. Then you can play 6 years. They do this because they know the CHL is the biggest hockey league in the world after the NHL, and players and coaches want IN big time!!!!!!!! NCAA is a second choice. Sorry!

you got to be kidding!!! Obviously you don't know what your trying to say BUDDY!! first off CHL hockey ages from 15 to 22 in some cases. NCAA is mostly 18-22. If you know anything about hockey, if your in the NCAA you passed up on the NCAA. Cause the CHL gets first rights. The NHL don't give a damm about the NCAA because it's pointless. No great hockey player has ever come out of NCAA. GET THIS ok. NO GREAT PLAYER HAS EVER COME OUT OF THE NCAA that was drafted after his rights came from CHL because the team didn't want him except for Paul Kariya, and he now says he should have played for Kamloops! And for this new guy you claim that is some #1 pick in the CHL! It's funny there is no such thing, but anyway you know lots about this guy. He got cut from the Major league last season, and the year before. UND hockey as NCAA hockey is a joke. There players and coaches who couldn't get into the pipeline of CHL. UND couldn't win a best of 5 series against Kootenay! Most of the USA team comes from NCAA and they got romped all over by a CHL base team. And your claim that Euros want to play in NCAA. NO SORRY!!!! They try to get into the CHL but rules force teams to play limited imports so there next best try is the USHL, then NCAA. Once they play NCAA they can't get into the CHL. So

What you all think of Chris Mussman? You think he has a future as a head coach anywhere? There was a offer for him to be a QB assistant to the offense coach in Edmonton, but he lost out to someone else. I see him leaving this year to become a head coach at another d2 program. He loves D2 Football, and I see him wanting to remain with the team long term so I see a school giving him a chance. Anybody know how good of a coach he was before the Sioux, and if he was a top player in college?

GREAT INFO guys! I'm surprised some of you knew most of them. Also HAKFAN, why you care about Football, stay over in the hockey side for useless rambling. To the others. At the time, were you hoping for Lennon to win the job? If I am not mistaken, didn't Lennon pull his name out of the running about a week before the annoucement? I think UND made the only logical choice in hiring Bohl. There was also the coach from the CFL, who was in the running, and reports that he was the leader but resigned in the CFL. He got like 3-4 year deal with millions and I think the bisons were only offering him a 2 year deal, and NDSU officials wouldn't give him a long term pay unlike what Bohl is getting now. And still, Bohl is doing a good job. UND has to keep Lennon around long term, he could be the greatest coach ever in UND history, and all of North Dakota. I'm worried that a big time d1 school like Minnesota would offer him a job, and he would bolt. what you think? Lennon is a fine recruiter, and sticks to his game plan unlike most college coaches. and is great for UND!

Thats right! You trash my last response, or atleast some of you. Most agree with one another that UND hockey is better than UND football, but agree totally on different issues. Most were agreeing the acceptance to disagree with me, while you disagree with another. It was quite funny. First, I never said Sioux Football winning a championship makes them better than USC. I never said UND hockey winning a game makes them better than the NY Rangers winning a game. I clearly stated that UND Football is more important than UND hockey to UND and GF area, and the state of North Dakota. Football is the king of North Dakota. Maybe not to you small children but Football is what level of competition creates the similarities and differences in this state. Hockey wouldn't even be a issue if we never lived near Manitoba! College hockey is big in the U.S because simply we weren't allowed to compete in the CHL. Why? because there are not enough good players to compete. So many Canadian kids come to the U.S on scholarship for 2 reasons. 1- there parents want to get them out of the hockey jungle and get a real education while keeping hockey to the side. Like the Kariyas did with Paul, and Steve. 2- and other players can't make the CHL. Most of you don't know how the CHL works with Bantam levels, it's not like in the U.S where kids play in high school or now the USHL. 90% of schools in Canada don't have hockey, or football. It's all community clubs. So if you want to keep the highest level of hockey at this level, then you have to judge who you are competing with. Europe, and Canada. USA college hockey is irrelevant. And don't be stupid to judge number of kids drafted in the NHL. A little lesson you who don't know, most NCAA kids get looked at first because the CHL players have limited import rules that allow them to rule the entry level for themselves. This is why most players wait untill 18-19 and the NHL rule USHL players ahead of CHL. Really all you have to look at is the top 10. Anything else is irrelevant. Sioux football is in the best affiliation. D2. If North Dakota was around 2million then they would be in D1. But this is the issue. Look at the state, then look at the more important sport. If you want top level of hockey, your cheering for the wrong team. If canada doesn't pay a lick to NCAA that should tell you something. The Sioux would get destroyed by top Major Junior in CHL. To think Travis Zajac was cut from Major League, and wasn't even drafted by a Junior team. Now he is in the NHL, and got drafted, why? Sioux football is the place to be, sorry Sioux hockey! your pointless. Sioux hockey won the championships because of the canadian kids that play here. Were not even on the same level of play even in hockey.

Which show do you like better? or to what show has the best production with features, and time control programming. I think the Bison show looks better, but I really like how the Sioux game coverage is handled. Also the Sioux has better game features, and show interviews. Bohl show loses points with the host. He isn't very good but tries hard. I would like the Sioux for once to a spot on the Sioux Crew that supports UND athletics for once.

I'm a big UND fan, but something about UND hockey is bothering me around the campus and GF that Sioux hockey is beyond Sioux football. There both well run clubs, and have had tons of success. But the Sioux Football should really be the crown of UND and GF. For hockey at that level it's interesting how many hockey schools at all levels, and the watchers from ESPN to be for sure follow the sport and make it like this is the best amateur hockey level in the world, when the CHL-----western hockey league, ontario hockey league, and quebec major league for sure has the best players, and the best teams, the best coaches, and the best competition with more on the line. The games are extremely huge up there where even some bad teams play in similar venues as the Ralph. Any CHL team that is not rebuilding would cream the Sioux!!! Where as the Sioux Football at this level, and overall conference play is superiout, and well more important for GF and UND. Let's hear what Sioux fans have to say.

When Roger Thomas retired, and the Sioux were looking for a coach who were the finalists along side Dale Lennon. Same question as for the Bisons when they hired Craig Bohl.

If they ever change the Sioux name, they would have to play hockey somewhere else. I guarentee they would have a lawsuit though if UND wasn't allowed to play at the Ralph. If they change the name, they can't play, that's tough to deal with alone, besides dealing with NCAA officials.

When do they cut off selling tickets before the game. Would it be best to call in for tickets or just wait untill you get to Alerus? Also are there scalpers? Where would the worst place to buy a seat?

If NDSU was in the game, would you play with them? I think I would. It would be nice to get UND in there as well, for d2. Wow what a game that would be.
