Congrats, Goon, on your nephew winning National Player of the Month for Feb. You gotta be proud.

After only one year, I could tell Berry was not a guy who could get it done in the NCAA tourney.
-
Thx. They must do turnstile counts as well.

Is "attendance" attendance or tickets sold? No way the gophs have been filling 78% of seats. Is there?
-
These must be difficult times for you.

You mean because the team lost more talent in the off season than any other in the country and they were picked in the middle of the pack in the NCHC?

No, but it's the willingness to give it a shot that's cool. -
No small matter, that.

Not me. I think there are some very important existential questions Sanderson should solve before he leaves. Do you think he is prepared to say what the meaning of life is, for starters? He should figure that shyt out now, while he has philosophy and lit professors available to help him. Oodles of money and puck bunnies galore will be of no use to him on those matters.

It will be very interesting to see what game UNO brings this weekend. They must have played well last weekend. -
Eeyore, you donkey!! Where you been? ,

This is true. A lot of fans from every base seem to need to be either ecstatic or pissed. Their team either wins with a great effort or loses because they did not put forth full effort. This team could get dumped in its first regional game. Even so, though, I think it's clear they care about winning and are playing close to their maximum potential. Can't expect much more than that.

If that happens Sandy will have to move in with gfhockey at his grandma's basement. Never would have thought that possible two years ago.

That's all fine, but they are still grindaz.

Sanderson seems to be a great kid and an obvious NHL talent. But it looks like the other players play with more urgency in his absence. More players are taking responsibility for the end result. If true, that's not his fault, just human nature. And it is fairly common in almost all sports, IMO. And these boys were missing 3 top talents, as you say. No question the rest of the team played with added intensity. Hopefully, they can learn from that. -

Did any team in the country lose more talent than UND did coming in to this year? Then to go to possibly win the regular season title to the best conference in the country? And they are doing it by closing strong without their only top draft pick. Some serious coaching going on there. And part of that is not Xs and Os; it's getting the boys to believe in the system and play as a team. I have a hunch there are zero locker room problems with this team. -
Great to see they can win that kind of game against a very good team this time of year. Have to be able to win that way to go far in NCAAs. Omaha's win last night was impressive that way.

Wisconsin hockey was a smart, fine-looking woman who lost her job and other things important to her and just let herself go. Now she doesn't look good until just before closing time. But dam, she and Sioux had some good times back in the day. The formation B1G hockey and the resulting breakup of the WCHA was bad news for a lot of schools, but with expansion to new schools, Big Ten hockey was gonna happen. Putting it on Alvarez is OK with me though.

Wait a minute. If Sandy recruits grindaz, why are we gonna fire Berry for recruiting grindaz?

Pretty big weekend, though a difficult one. The McNaughton used to be a big accomplishment, certainly bigger than the conference tourney. The Penrose may even be a bigger deal, given the strength of this conference. That said, the pairwise implications of these last games may even be of more importance than the Penrose, With Western coming in this weekend and some pairwise points to be had (or lost) beginning with the second round of the conference tourney, this team could a 2 or even 1 seed. 1 is not likely, but possible. 4 is also possible, of course. Dont know the system well enough to know whether missing the bubble is possible, though I'd guess it is. Ordinarily, I'd say that seeding isn't that big a deal, since they have to beat all comers eventually anyway. But this team is not going to overpower the field, and they will need every advantage they can get to get very far in the tourney, Should they sweep this weekend, the Penrose chances look pretty dang good, which would be an amazing accomplishment for this roster. Slam dunk COY, IMO (though that award should be coaching STAFF of the year--for any team).

Do Mankato fans still do the Ole Ole soccer cheer? I think it was them. Bullfighting cheer actually
