  1. UMD gonna lose third straight? Someone do a wellness check on gf.
  2. I think it's the way they wear their hair, but it's hard to tell with helmets 'n all.
  3. UND commit Jayden Perron is the forward of the week in the USHL. Perron, who plays for the Chicago Steel, tallied five points over the weekend. He is currently the USHL's leading scorer with 13 points in eight games. Perron is expected to come to UND next fall. Meh, we coulda had Spicer.
  4. These tough games early on are best medicine, especially with an experienced coaching staff. They got a taste of success and comeback excitement, now the learning curve part. This isn't the USHL
  5. I'd have to watch again, as I thought Q played aggressive hockey in all zones. Those guys kept their feet moving and played their positions. I wouldn't say they slowed it down, but you do have cred with me.
  6. Only thing worse would to be Duluth this weekend. Is Sandy thinking of quitting?
  7. UND has a few players with more talent, but Q just appears to be a better team right now. Might be very different come Feb/March
  8. I know everyone here hates RP for his personality and tactics, but Q is a well coached team.
  9. I wonder if anyone else thinks watching this team is a little like watching the Panzer Bros. teams.
  10. And I think some people just need too much out of a game that is played by other people. It gives them more anxiety than anything, which is a pity, since hockey is a wonderful game and a pleasure to watch, especially college hockey. Almost as good as watching a bunch of 5-year-olds chase the puck around the ice.
  11. But a number of those were great shots.
  12. Give gf a break. Things aren't going well for the Hawks, which he loves, but Sandy is being completely outcoached 5-0, which brings on all those harsh toilet training issues he has to deal with.
  13. I'd say we've got em right where we want em: overconfident as hel.
  14. Gopher moms will be serving pancakes and juice in the warming room.
  15. Very true. They will learn at least a couple of things: First, the time and space will diminish considerably (though HC had a good forecheck). Second, they will pay a price for loose play, both in their defensive zone and in the O zone, where passes that might have worked in high school or USHL could lead to an odd man rush the other way.
  16. Holy Cross has nothing to be ashamed about. They work hard and have a strong forecheck. Just a lower skill level overall. But they bottled us up for stretches of time, and our defense is not chopped liver. (jeez, do people even say that anymore?)
  17. Most of us seem to agree about Gaber. Thing is, he seems to be the consummate team player, just trying to do too much. As the other skilled forwards continue to improve, Gaber will feel less personally responsible for generating scoring opportunities.
  18. Tonight could be a much closer game. HC carried play a fair amount of time after the first period. They work hard at taking away space; their talent level is just quite a bit short of UNDs
  19. nchc streaming this one?
  20. Might take some pressure off Gaber to try to do too much. That's not really a criticism of Gaber; he has come out with huge energy this year.
  21. Dad definitely had an edge. To be fair to Jackson, though, he is not his father and shouldn't have to try to be. Maybe he's better.
  22. There are whispers out there that gfhockey hosts a black site for UMD fans. Their big thing is sending out "grindah remindahs" to UND fans on various social media sites.
  23. Is that an option?
  24. We agree, but even though players from those schools will be faster and older than Bison players (I think), guys who grew up playing hockey north of the border probably did so in a culture that believed if you got your bell rung, no matter how loud, because you had your head down, it's all on you. It's not that way so much in college hockey nowadays.
