All we know about this staff is that they have been playing prevent since getting two top recruits. Blais would have kept the pedal to the metal. Oh I believe in yesterday.

Like I said: More of the same. Time to Axe the Jax?
-
Should have known: They got a lead and now they're coasting.

Yup. I'm not hung up on a low-number tradition, but a player who would base such a serious decision on his jersey number is not very appealing to me. -
Sources tell me PSU has secretly developed both an altitude chamber and an East Coast Airs chamber. That gets them by BU, BC, and DU. Michigan hasn't been a major factor since these recruits' grandparents' time. UMinn? PSU doesn't even need a Motzko chamber.

As that college hockey legend, gfhockey, would say: We didn't want him.
-
Some truth to that, but BU (and others mentioned by nascar) has been recruiting a LOT of so-called chippahs for years based on factors other than cash.
-
BU just can’t continue to recruit all these high draft picks too much longer without winning a banner. Sure, it takes all kinds on a team and banners are a game of chance, but . . . .

I think we came up with an over/under on that. -

With all these chippahs coming in, one I'm really looking forward to seeing what he can do this year is James. He's not a sniper, but he's a damn fine hockey player who can make teams pay with his legs and his hustle. -
So the Pens wouldn't have had to give anything up for Parise and Suter, other than cash and/or draft picks?
-
I tend to think that way as well, but remember that these kids are extremely competitive, always wanting to be best of class. NIL is real money, but it is also perceived as evidence of class rank.

Yeah, my daughter practiced law there for about 6 years before moving to D.C. She is pleased that DC is more affordable. But man, Vancouver is beautiful!

Back in the day, one of the bars in GF had rocky mountain oyster night. Looks like he's from dairy country though, so maybe oyster hors d'oeuvres wouldn't work for him.

I'm glad information like this is coming out. There seemed to be a sentiment among UND fans that recent recruiting successes were all due to Chyzyk magic. That was an important hire, but it's good to see Jax (and the other bench coaches, I'm sure) get some credit. Making the trip to Macklin is exactly what Hak would have done. That's grinder work, going into the corners, something they expect of the players.

Don't be shocked when she asks how that changes anything. -
I wonder who oversees the hookers and blow.

Shorty goals and no-goal shorty breakaways? Under, by barely. -

What's the over/under on the number of shorties James gets this year? Make that shorty breakaways, whether he scores or not. -

When do most of the players show up at REA for "uncoached" ice and training time? -

Maybe Wilbur is just beanless. -
I'd guess that a lot of these chippahs are expecting serious money in the near future and have people around them, parents usually, who help manage. For 17 and 18-year-olds getting serious NIL money, trusts are probably going to become commonplace.

I'm as surprised as you are that I was at least partly right.

What do you know; my guy was at least partly right.
