  1. He’s so good on two on ones.
  2. We apparently don’t need them.
  3. Teammate of Greg Johnson?
  4. A Ledgie, by any other name, would sound as sad.
  5. Ledgies need to be up there to feel whole and will head to the elevators on moments notice.
  6. Time will tell, but a team that builds a reputation of outplaying its opponents in the third is getting some good game coaching (in addition to never-quit culture building).
  7. AS fucking U is such a big school in a big city: ASU 39, UND 1 (pity breakaway with 10 seconds left against a sleeping goalie).
  8. With the way Duluth has been playing, gf will have to sober up enough to put his elation into words. 😁
  9. Totally agree. Big time recruits raise expectations that nearly always end in disappointment. With so little in my life that is fun, I gotta be careful about shattered expectations. Give me competent mediocre. Funeral potatoes. Comfort food.
  10. OK, I better come out on this. Polls mean just about everything to me. Just like natties, good ratings raise UND hockey in the estimation of others, bringing prestige, admiration, and bragging rights. My personal life is sadly lacking those things, so I am forced to experience them vicariously through UND hockey. As long as the Hawks muck around outside the top 5 or 6, I got nothin’. Don’t send money. Lots of rich people are hockey losers. And if you’re a hockey loser, you might just as well cheer for Omaha.
  11. He is. Gotta have some snipers. Teams must have had fits defending against both Blake and Gaber when they were on the ice together—or even apart. Especially when they had teammates who could dish.
  12. Since he kind of took ownership of the name, Hammer has the creds to issue a statement on the subject.
  13. I just think Ledgies shouldn’t be allowed to use the elevator more than 2 times per weekend. If they wanna be up and down as the breeze changes, fine; let them use the stairs.
  14. Hemorrhoids.
  15. These are predictions, not measures of what we fans should be allowed to expect. A chance to take the glasses off for a brief time. I’d like to expect even the most committed fans to be objective at times, but I won’t always predict it.
  16. Thank you as well, Shayla.
  17. Thanks, Dave. A lot of work, and we don’t have to lift a finger. 😀
  18. I wonder if gfhockey got a new outfit for the weekend? 😀
  19. Must have been proud, though, Goon. He was, and is, a hell of a hockey player.
  20. And some of us have the added advantage of seeing it all from their box on the Ledge.
  21. Sounds on radio like UND is dominating play but cant bury it.
  22. Then, of course, we both have guilt issues. Like the guilt that drove gfhockey to drink and misspell everything.
  23. Back in the day, I used to cheer a full 60. Then I started to cheer about 50 and sort of space out for 10. Now, I might cheer for 25, space out for 10, and biatch for 25. I worry a lot and have performance issues of all kinds. A sweep would have helped. If we don’t get the split, I just don’t know— maybe switch to Duluth.
  24. Everything’s a one-timer Hammer.
  25. I suppose I started listening to sports in the early 60s, but not so much Sioux hockey, so he is unfamiliar to me. That said, it is difficult to describe to young fans how important radio play-by-play was to us oldies who did not grow up with streaming video or even cable. Those guys (rarely women) were our eyes and ears both.
