They are both (all three, actually) young, and the chances that other programs come hunting are good, probably already have, although I don't know what the rules are regarding that.
-
He might have been having some fun, Texan.
-
You may very well be right, Cratter. These kids have probably had pretty young coaches during their teens too, coaches moving up through the junior system.
-
Before this year, 8 of the last 10 Super Bowl winning head coaches have been in their 60s. The other two, Pederson and Harbaugh, were 49 and 40. I'm guessing they were even older going back further. But as to your point, Gwoz, Lucia, Eades, and Blais were all pretty young when they won their first. Probably similar to Berry? I don't know how old Red was in his first one--did they even keep records back before artificial ice?

It's hard to tell with Sandy: Good coach but bad recruiter or good recruiter but bad coach? Nice guy though.
-
I don't know: UMD fans have to be wondering why they're losing games like this to less talented teams.
-
How do we stream this one, since it's not on nchc tv?
-
Sorry if you thought I was giving anyone excuses. Just don't think our academics are a recruiting advantage.
-
I certainly agree that UND should be in the mix for most high end, NHL-bound kids, but Minn and Mich have just as much tradition and UND is no match for any big ten school's range of academic offerings. I have two degrees from UND and am grateful for them, but there are many high end hockey programs out there at schools with quite a bit more to offer in academics, fellowships, internships, etc.

Love your optimism but don't think we are in a prime position, given the remaining schedule. Possible? Sure, but not probable IMO. If UND wins the Penrose with this roster, Berry should get COY. -

Nut cutttin' time straight ahead. -
We probably would not sweep them now, even with a full roster.

CC has been a tough out for a lot of teams this year. They beat BC, tied UMD and SCSU, and lost by a goal to WMich. They will lose more than they win, but they can put it together at times. The difference between the 1st and 2-3rd periods last night was an illustration. We clearly outplayed them in P1; entirely different story the rest of the way. Need a few bounces tonight. And more discipline.
-
Yeah, the real point with games like this against an unranked opponent is where we would be if we lost. Avoid that.
-
Goalies have no business scoring goals. They get enough attention as it is.
-
They were supposed to say "That was most definitely NOT a penalty, not even close."
-
Most would probably disagree, but among snipers, I'd take him over Bochenski.

How huge a find was Gaber?

boys are winning the scrums tonight

Week to week Day to day Hour to hour The goal is straight Deep and wide Break on through to the other side Sorry . . . had to.
-
I feel more or less that way too. A couple of goals by Omaha on both nights might have changed the dynamics completely.
-
Both games "so even," but Omaha could have run us out of the building? Sounds like you are saying the games have not been even but UND has been fortunate.
-
It's fortunate Omaha didn't score on the many chances they had early, because our team isn't well equipped for comebacks. So far, at least. Driscoll was big at that crucial time. I still think these boys have heart and are being well coached.
-
Driscoll still makes me nervous playing the puck out of the net.
