Parise knows my memory has taken leave, but was Boivert’s attitude criticized much around here before he decided to leave?

Didn’t think we’d see the lobby by the elevator door filling up this year after the break. But while the Ledge is still mostly vacant, you can see folks jostling for position to reclaim their places up there.

Hope it works out well for him. The guy can play. Biatch to play against.

Also agree. That said, it can be an advantage for important faceoffs and against teams with a dominant line. Didn’t help against the Plantes last night, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a good tool to use, and I’m sure good game coaches utilize it when they can. And because it’s the coach’s responsibility not the players’, it is not something they even need to think of.

So, we’ll get second change in the regional and against everyone except UMich if we get to the FF?
-
Very nice. And still have things to biatch about. Something for everyone.

So, what . . . 6 of the top 10 NPI got beat?
-
Do we know that as a fact?

Gotta think BU’s recent stellar recruiting success will tail off with results like this. Kids want to play in the NHL, but they also want to win.

Boisvert 0-5 on the dot.

Has anyone put together data on the amount of 5-on-5 ice time forward lines 1-4 have averaged per game this season? is time-on-ice the primary value associated with “top 6,” or is that term just used to identify the six most talented forwards?

Not all of us have a van down by the river.

We sometimes forget that these kids are signed up for a university level academic experience (even though we know that tutors and watered-down curricula can make a mockery of that).

I’m just thinking double shifts, short shifts, etc

I’m thinking some coaches are better at match-up strategy than others, particularly as home team. It will be interesting to see how Jax and staff handle that Saturday. They have to figure out, first, which players would be most effective against the Plante line, then make those match-ups happen, despite Sandy’s efforts prevent that

It couldn’t be about just one line. I like Jax Attack. -
Tell me if I’m completely lost: Managing the last-change advantage is probably more important against teams with one or two lines that are extremely talented and require good personnel matchups—teams like UMD which have one line that is the core of their offense. In addition to this weekend, UND could meet up with UMD two more times but would have last-change rights for all of those due to superior ranking and home team designation. in fact, the home team designation and accompanying last-change rights may be the most important part of the discussions about ranking, site locations, and matchups. ??

When are the conference final and first regional games? I know we want to do nothing but win now, but am I a disloyal weasel for thinking it might not be such a bad thing to miss the conf final, even without possible illness considerations? -

Dogs fans discovered that Sandy was just a proxy for a UND fan/double agent whose name shall be kept secret for security purposes. Splendid bit of under cover work. -

Getting out hustled. Omaha’s forecheck has our D off balance. Lot of hockey left, but they better start moving their feet or it will only get worse.
