  1. Fair enough, Sir, though my post was very much about UND hockey. You were right to give the order you gave, though.
  2. The guy who should be fired is Kevin O'Connell. In consecutive weekends, his team barely squeaks by three of the worst teams in football. That wouldn't have happened under Bud Grant. I don't know; maybe fans are all too willing to settle for mediocrity these days. At least then we could count on going to the Super Bowl.
  3. I know a guy . . . .
  4. Last night they passed like an old person browsing with the mouse upside down.
  5. Could be worse: we could be Duluth.
  6. So, the goalie listed first (on the left) is always the starter?
  7. He did that? My reading skills are like our PK. Which I blame on injury.
  8. Maybe starting both goalies both nights is our best shot.
  9. Enough with the voice of reason, brian.
  10. Maybe it's clear from those stats, but are those for equal games played/years?
  11. eew.
  12. Woo Hoo! Big Friday night W, baby! Looks around as the party grows quiet.
  13. I just hope the players don't quit as easily as some fans do.
  14. UND seems to be a one-hand-on-the-stick team. I get that it’s a common way to check, but I wonder if it doesn’t cause players to coast and reach more often.
  15. Hard to know: We won't see a good share of them.
  16. That blockhead thought it was a faceoff drill
  17. Or, since these are teenagers away at college, out-of-body.
  18. Not that long ago, didn’t UND sweep DU home and away only to see DU go on to win the natty?
  19. Might be a good place for a Hammer comment. That guy seemed, on one hand, to be from another planet that did not have hockey. But he was enthusiastic and appeared to be working hard at prep, despite his awkwardness. His unintentional non sequiturs and verbal gaffs were gold.
  20. Definitely. Others are improving, though. Inexperienced camera work used to be the norm, and poor camera work in hockey can make the game unwatchable. The clumsy production work like we saw last weekend in Duluth is not as bothersome. I lived in hockey starved areas of the country 35-45 years ago, and following the Sioux used to mean finding a newspaper (actual, in-your-hands paper) that provided scores and stats or, in some cases, phone calls. No world wide web, and hockey had just not gotten to some cities and areas of the country. We are spoiled now big time.
  21. I should have specified good satire. I freely admit to a lot of bad satire, which is not worth anyone's time unless they have too much of it.
  22. No, please don’t turn literal on us; we get enough of that. Satire, irony, nuance— all forms of indirect humor or sarcasm are refreshing and welcome.
  23. Good to hear, and welcome back. I assume you've been passing some debris pieces since the removal?
