  1. Agree with all, except make it an overpass rather than underpass
  2. I agree, the non conference schedule was great, but those games were quite a while ago. They kind of run into the same problem as Gonzaga does in hoops. But they are definitely a potent team and if they can run the table would just miss the 40 wins club, very lofty territory.
  3. They scare me because they are the most likely to give you COVID and get you eliminated without losing. I'd like to see Mankato do well, just not sure the CCHA battle hardens them for when it counts.
  4. Penn St. Win tonight would be huge in opening door for UND to grab a one seed. Much prefer to potentially see Denver in Boston than in Loveland. Especially if they end up meeting in Frozen Faceoff. Top two NCHC teams should never be in same regional.
  5. Split the difference. Give top seed s bye to championship and let them host that game and have teams 2 through 9 play for the other spot in Sioux Falls. That way you generate revenue from planned neutral site tourney and have a guaranteed great atmosphere for final which is good for TV and promotion. Also provides a very meaningful reward for winning regular season crown and increases likelihood best team makes it to the dance.
  6. Let him go.
  7. Not sure how UND hasn't already benefited massively from gambling, albeit not locally.
  8. Not so sure. The B Boys is definitely the crown jewel, and even that isn't what it was 20-25 years ago. Hockey skews heavily east, and Class A only has interest when there is the rare elite D1 super prospect. Girls were better off in the fall when they had the spotlight, but that ship has sailed. I doubt splitting would make much if any more money, and at least with the current set up the tournaments can all promote each other. with 4 straight weekends.
  9. Playing 3 on 3 OT is stupid. Go back to 2 points for a win and 1 for a tie, with a regular 5x5 OT.
  10. UNO has given up a number of awful turnovers. We could easily have 7 or 8 goals.
  11. And next week they'll get the chance.
  12. Unbelievable
  13. Bulldog loss to Miami putting them into bubble territory.
  14. Bummer for Sanderson. Sure looks like USA could have used him.
  15. Pitiful power play was costly. Should have put that game away.
  16. I'm cautiously optimistic that CAS reinstates the ban. That said, I won't be surprised if this is similar to the East German doping and athletes may not have known, especially minors.
  17. Hoping Salt Lake gets 2030. They are the ideal host, facilities are great and in relatively compact area and snow is real.
  18. All curling athletes are like that I think. A highlight of Salt Lake was hanging out with the teams afterward. There was a curling hospitality club right next to the venue and you could drink and talk with the teams. We spent a lot of time with the Canadians and the Swedes. I had similar experiences at the World Championships in Bismarck and Grand Forks.
  19. How can they not at least interview Eric Bieniemy? Baffling.
  20. I thought Warthogs would be decent. Alliterative and easily shortened to the 'Hogs and aligned with their period of success.
  21. If that's burning bridges, then Montana has pretty thin skin. Kid was a walk on at Montana and earned first team All America honors and is now on scholarship at Nebraska. In looking at his actual twitter he's hugely complimentary of his teammates at UM. Even that facebook post has a response questioning the legitimacy of that tweet, since it was a screenshot and not linked.
  22. Or the success level from the coach creates a level of excitement in the program that you also get good outside candidates. Promoting from within is good for morale, but I think UND at times has been too focused on internal ties and not on who might be the best person for the job.
  23. Hockey is a jumping stone as well, just to the NHL.
