USA bullpen has been less than stellar this tourney. In game management has been dreadful. They couldn't get Dusty Baker or some to do this.

Because the committee would love to put them there if possible for obvious reasons regardless of whether they are hosting. It's simply not a requirement. Augie moving up to a 3 seed would allow an overall #1 UND to still get the #16 seed and Augustana to still get sent to Sioux Falls.

Augie can easily move up if Dartmouth or Cornell lose this weekend, which is certainly possible. Wisconsin is tough to pass since they only lose one more time.

But this will never happen. If they play any G5 type school on the road it would be in a fertile recruit ground. Not Fargo

Ideal scenario would be Augie making it up to a 3 seed. Probability matrix has that at around 25 percent right now. Ferris winning tonight would make things a little easier for them. I do think though if UND were overall 1, they would get the closest site (Sioux Falls) and play AHA or other autobid and Augie would go somewhere else, probably Loveland.

Apparently you don't remember the period from about 1975 to 1995. Pretty bleak for most of that time. They won one game and one 2 game total goals series in the NCAA tournament between 1973 and 2003. And a 35 year ncaa title drought from 1969 to 2004.

Conference tourney is a money maker so dont expect that to happen. This year should have pretty solid attendance in big arenas. Best of three means box office. Im not crazy about stretching out the semis and the championship. Just let the high seed host the semis and the final. Don't think midweek games are realistic with geography of the NCHC. Much easier for HEA and B1G.
