  1. There we're a few but a lot more Fighting Sioux apparel.
  2. Well, I was kidding. Both Brad and Tom are very good friends of mine, and Virg, too .... And I beg to differ on their journalistic ethics.
  3. His 40 time is fast, at least the one that is reported. -- 4.47
  4. Recruiting tape says he's 5-10, 185 pounds. probably somewhere in the middle. By comparison, Jer Garmin was 5-9, 190 last year and was much smaller when he was a sophomore (should have been his redshirt freshman year), which is probably when this guy would see the field at the earliest.
  5. You're so harsh with people, you brute, Sic!
  6. That's extreme wishful thinking.
  7. I know you know this, but I think it should be said that the same thing could be said of the current athletes who think we should remain N.D., it's just that most of those that we've seen displayed on this message board have been from one sport only, and most of them are from places such as Canada and Minnesota and other far flung places in the U.S. and beyond.
  8. I highly doubt that, especially at the national media level where it truly matters.
  9. I hear it a lot and cringe every time its brought up. Here are just a few examples of where it was part of the in-game story line: 1. UND men's basketball vs. Kansas Jayhawks 2. UND football vs. Fresno State 3. UND football vs. San Diego State 4. UND football vs.San Jose State 5. UND football vs. Idaho 6. UND basketball vs. Wisconsin 7. UND women's basketball vs. Texas A&M 8. UND football vs. Missouri St. 9. UND men's basketball at Utah 10. UND men's basketball at Marquette 11. UND men's baskeball at Minnesota Gophers
  10. That sounds like a difference without a distinction. You mean if you're an activist member, you're not a regular member.
  11. These nebulous "potential donors" that many who want no nickname keep referring to are about has hazy and imminent as those "potential NCAA and Big Sky sanctions and penalties" that the new nickname crowd likes to trot out. Hell, if we stay just "North Dakota," I'm expecting Phase II of the HPC to get shovels in the ground this fall and for all of our athletic scholarship issues to be a thing of the past with all the donations that are going to start rolling in.
  12. You beat me to it.
  13. I certainly would. The University means more to me than what we call ourselves on the athletics field.
  14. Well there's this. At least the Hockey SID gets the bigger picture. https://twitter.com/UNDSID/status/624592044237811712/photo/1
  15. Staving off the tide of knee-jerk revisionism.
  16. Really never has. It's just that no one ever pays attention unless it is about something ultra important that the public can wrap its collective head around.
  17. They (the GOBC) have been eerily quiet of late, haven't they?
  18. Welcome to the world of public sausage, er, I mean, policy making! I. am. not. surprised!
  19. Who knows? I was wrong on the committee keeping it in the running the other day. It just seems like whenever anything like this happens and folks start sharpening their pitchforks -- whether it be on campus with faculty or in the public domain -- the Kelley administration has succumbed to those pressures.
  20. My gut, knowing Kelley, is he will add "North Dakota" back into the mix for consideration. He very often capitulates to public opinion.
  21. Good point. I did notice KG's tone change from diplomatic in the first meetings to exasperated by Tuesday night. Somewhere in the middle some of the "fellas" must have taken him for a ride down by the East River to let him know what was good for him -- an offer he couldn't refuse.
  22. It was important for Schloss to parrot the company line lest he be made a pariah and get snubbed for interviews by those he covers. He wouldn't want to lose his year-round access to the corner office in the Honorary Virg "I'm no homer" Foss press box at REA now would he? I kid, I kid! ( ;
