GeauSioux is a wayyyy better authority on this than I am... but I don't think there is anything wrong (injury wise) with Brady's leg. He could kick touch backs all day long anywhere if he wanted to. I think he is simply doing what the coaches tell him to do before each kick, based on scouting and watching tapes. If there is high confidence our special teams can shut down a returner shy of the 25, then why automatically give them the 25 with a touchback? Now, granted after that it's up to player execution, from Brady to the kick-off coverage unit.. .and that was simply brutal on Saturday.

This could happen in the Polls, in a proxy sort of way… if our past opponents, for the most part, continue to suck it up. Sam Herder has, at least once in the past 24 hours, downgraded our status due to the performance of our opponents, to date. Of course no mention that the opponents of the #1 team in the nation are a combined 9-20. Our opponents are a hair better 15-20 overall. This will all correct itself in the coming weeks through head to head match ups in the MVFC. Oh and screw the polls! Especially the coaches’ poll.

I don't have distance breakdowns but for what it's worth Peterka was a career 72 percent FG kicker (58/80) over 4 years. Hellevang was hella sketchy at 61% (45/73) over 4 years.

The good ol' days certainly get better with age. Glas missed 29 FGs (67/96) over 4 years, Zeb missed 20 (45/65) over 4 years, and JGT, though having the fewest attempts of the three, missed only 13 FGs (31/44) over four years. Their career FG% are pretty close -- 69%, 69%, and 70%, respectively. Compare that to Brady Stevens, who has only been kicking FGs in 2021 and 2022: Stevens has missed 7 FGs (11/18) over those 1.5 seasons, for a 61%. AVG.

Those numbers are still being compiled by the Office of University Planning & Analytics. Safe to say that UND has a huge number of hybrid students on campus (taking classes both in person and online) in an attempt to finish faster and reduce debt load.

UND's enrollment just went official an hour ago. It will be publicly shared in the coming days. I'm told the official UND enrollment for Fall 2022 is 13,876 (up 104 from last fall).

Not content. Just not hopelessly infatuated with the idea that we are an abysmal failure. We all want more. We just don’t want to live in complete misery all the time and not take brief moments along the way to enjoy a bit of positivity. I am going to savor this win for 24 hours and then move on. Survive and advance. God, knows we will be reminded all week how SIU is all-world in every category and how we don’t even belong in any discussion with them….until we beat them, and then they all of a sudden will become horse crap. We seem to have this amazing dynamic on all teams we beat.
