  1. I don't know how accurate this report at this link is concerning what Trav is earning in 2022, but not too shabby at all, if true: https://salarysport.com/american-football/player/travis-toivonen/ EDIT: Might be able to afford a studio apartment in Secaucus with that kind of bank.
  2. Completely true. But if I may offer a modicum of defense for McFeely -- opinion columnists are not supposed to be balanced (or even truthful). He can think, write and espouse whatever he wants in this country of ours, short of harassment, libel, etc. On the flipside, you never saw Hennen, Shapiro, Cal Thomas, etc. share any serious criticisms of Trump or Bush when their administrations were at the helm. It's how it is. There is no excuse, however, for anyone getting facts completely wrong or just being careless with the facts -- that goes for both the news side journalists and opinion writers (right and left) alike.
  3. Not a rumor as much as Chaves is actively pitching the idea to donors. It's part of his vision to put softball on campus directly north of Pollard, between University Avenue and 2nd Ave N. on the east half of current parking lot.
  4. I see what you did there.
  5. Chief of U.S. Space Command and Molly Yeh headline this year's spring commencement events. http://blogs.und.edu/press-releases/2022/05/u-s-space-force-chief-to-give-main-address-at-und-commencement-may-14/
  6. it’s still around.
  7. Scoff! Failed plays are all on coach. Positive plays are all on player. You should know this by now. (sarc.)
  8. Crowd calls for "Fenney's" head before week 2....
  9. Portalitis — a relatively new affliction characterized by the intense desire to be in a constant state of recruitment; or a chronic need to be wanted; also a deep aversion to commitment.
  10. Flash-in-the-pan Hawk DB Jeremie Dominique is projected as a fourth rounder in the CFL draft (30th overall, Edmonton Elks), by one source. https://3downnation.com/2022/04/12/john-hodges-2022-cfl-mock-draft-2-0/
  11. A Ty Boyle sighting. https://coffeeordie.com/best-ranger-competition-final-day/
  12. Unfortunately, I wasn’t around yesterday. I would have liked to take it all in.
  13. Really a great guy. Loved chatting with Kyle about all things sports and life in general.
  14. Bump. I know hindsight is always 20/20 but what were the feelings based on that Bruns wouldn't give the SD schools a look when I alluded to the possibility back in January? It just felt to me like the stars were aligning in that direction at the time. Like every night in a Hawks uni was turning into an audition for his home state programs.
  15. LOL! That escalated quickly.
  16. It was a big story back during construction, and the insurance/legal settlements dragged out for months after. It all played out in the pages of the Herald , KNOX-AM, KCNN, WDAZ News, Valley News and KX4– all of which had offices in Grand Forks at the time.
  17. Good point. and oh yes I do.
  18. We do definitely want the same thing! I take things a little too personal when anyone rips my favorite team (regardless whether they're UND fans or not) --just ask my friends. ( : Not calling for this, because it would make a message board really boring, but personally I just like to keep the dirty laundry to a tight circle of close UND loving friends. Plus, I have the advantage of being within arm's reach daily of some of the folks we rip on on this board...so I have a direct outlet on things that most don't.
  19. Totally get it. I'm just a little more empathetic than the next. So I am terrible on message boards. Same reason I can be both a great boss and a horrible boss to my employees, at the same time. Posters that try to come across all hard and uncompromising all the time (not you) always seem fake to me. Like they would wilt like a daisy in real life if they ever had to make decisions in the public eye.
  20. There's a great saying about hindsight... it just escapes me right now. Something about how it makes us all arm chair geniuses. It's fun tho. ( :
  21. Good points! We are spoiled.
  22. you’re right. but that’s the kind of stuff ADs get saddled with — fair or not.
  23. They call him Stony Brook because of where he came from. They don’t think he’s doing enough fast enough to take them “to the next level” in general. Pretty much the same song and dance there as it is with most proud fans bases.
  24. That was my favorite spot when I’d bring the kids to games, and then he took it over. He’s there all the time!
