  1. We will get our shot next year but I don’t think you are giving enough credit to their opponent last night.
  2. Good lord.........
  3. Where has anyone on this site said UND will be on par with NDSU all things being what they are today? I think my point and yours are the same point but some of you guys who blindly hate anyone who doesn't fully agree that Rudolph needs to go just type away at anyone who say anything besides that and mistake it for support all things UND. I do think Rudolph could have had the same outcome last night with NDSU's roster vs. SHSU. The plays they had success on were pretty basic. They just were a better team and bullied a squad that had was not very good defensively and wanted nothing to do with a team lining up and running right at them. NDSU also has a great S&C program and does a very good job developing OL. Even guys that no one else see's as D1 talent. We could likely site numerous examples but I am sure you know the names. That said and even if all was equal, you have to admit at a position like OL 1 or 2 extra years of physical development makes a difference. A majority of their guys they started last night were Srs/Jrs.. And that is my biggest issue with this season and it can go all the way back to the previous staff and falls on this one. Upper class o-line play and development with S&C has not been very good. That has nothing to do with Rudolph but does fall on some people on this staff. I also am not one that is real high on Juco or FBS transfers as more often than not, at all FCS programs they are more misses than hits and are not going to do quick patchwork of needs. There has to be development.
  4. I think I see the difference pretty well. They have a really talented OL/TE group that is coached well and executes. They also are a very experienced group and rarely have to plug in more than one or two underclassmen in their rotation. The difference wasn't play calling, it was executing the plays that were called and physically dominating SHSU. Unless its a special group, you don't do that with an OL/TE/FB group consisting mainly of RsFR/So. Generally at the FCS level you aren't getting 4-5 of that special OL talent and development is needed. The development of our OL group going all the way back 6-7 years has not been very good and needs improvement.
  5. No !@#$...... Amazing how much more physically ready a position like OL/TE can be when you start 3 Sr., 2 Jrs and only one So. and half of those guys are backed up by Sr. Who would have thought right?
  6. They had two guys run for close to 200 yards and ran for over 400 as a team. Threw for 160. Actually it was right out of Rudolph’s playcalling. Good chunk of their runs were A gap power. Their o line/te/fb group was dominate.
  7. The reason he didn't have any other D1 offers is he had a lot of growing up to do and made some mistakes as a younger kid. From everything I have heard from past coaches he has done that. I think he will play at this level and will succeed at this level. Honestly, as was the case with some freshmen years past a redshirt year will likely do him good. Not a lot of kids are physically ready to play right out of high school and the amount of minutes he would have got this season would have been peanuts compared to what he will likely be playing 4 years from now. Kid at NDSU is the same way. Redshirt him. Let him focus on getting more mature physically and see what he grows into.
  8. Who perceives it to be a luxury?
  9. Philly still has to be the favorite in the NFC. I’m confident Foley can complete better than 60% of his passes with that WR corps and running game. They will continue to ask their QB to be a game manager.
  10. 13 off their two deep?
  11. So is it talent or not? We barely beat them because our offense scored 17.
  12. Same OC from Montana St last year. Didn’t blow the doors down there

    2018 UND Recruiting

Had a USD offer. Looks like he could play a number of positions.
  15. Best of luck to him.
  16. Didn’t see any recruits we had offered that had committed to them but there are a few on the interests list that are being recruited by both.
  17. Where there was smoke, there was fire.
  18. Great season ladies. Thank you seniors.
  19. Huh? This was Bubbas team. Lots of things factored into 3-8. I’m willing to put blame on him for 3-8 but also will give him credit for 8-3 and 7-4
  20. So 7-4 is closer to 3-8 than it is to 8-3?
  21. Two years prior to this UND was 7-4 and a boarderline playoff team followed by a fluke year of 8-3.
  22. So you keep moving the goal post. First you compare head coaches. Now you are comparing programs and athletic directors investment into said programs. I’ll get on board with one of those comparisons.
  23. The choked in the playoff game part I will agree with 100% The other logic is a little murky only because I am trying to determine if that logic would apply to non conference games to?
  24. It’s really not hard to understand. Comparing USD to UND- USDs first round win for them to the 2nd round. UNDs bye for them to the 2nd round. The beating bye comment was a joke. For your information you don’t actually play a game if you get seeded and although some people joke about it there is no team actually called “bye”. Is it better now that I clarified it?
  25. The diagram feature on my phone is disabled so you may not understand without the picture.
