    From my understanding the shortage has more to do with the hours upon hours needed than it does space for training. This ties back to how things will be different in 5 years in college campuses and on job training requirements. You may be throwing money away by building dorms and more space when want to be pilots are better served doing things like flying for a air national guard unit to get hours.

    You just described the problem with Grand Forks. They are their own worst enemy, not the state, not Fargo, not Casselton. The leadership in Grand Forks. They wont invest in anything or seem to allow any growth to happen. Housing is not affordable. It’s growth seems to be limited by a few. The infrastructure needs work. Downtown could be great but let’s not change it. So you are left with what’s there, a bunch of things that are ok but nothing is great. Potential is there for a great campus, great facility for conferences, great downtown, great concert venues. They just need to get new leadership in place that is aggressive and isn’t in it for themselves. The state isn’t the enemy you keep trying to make them out to be.

    If this is what we have to pile on this president about, he wants to take photos with students and alumni to promote himself and the university we have come a long way from the days of "out of town and unavailable for comment". I really doubt that not choosing to be in a photo opportunity is what led to Faison retiring. It was likely not choosing to participate in a number of other activities that promote the university. It was not the man's strength as an AD.

    I don’t know if it was ever in doubt but it had to gain approval from 4 or 5 state agencies that over see the path in each state. I can’t imagine constantly construction would have began without gain approval from all along with the Corps of Engineers.

    Not just UND. Education, especially professional education will change dramatically in the next 10-20 years. Even programs that may be "online resistant" may see a huge change in how people are trained or how the job is done. First college to figure out how.......wins.

    So do you blame the current administration or the past administration? It seems to me they do things to very different ways. One is a decision maker regardless who it upsets and one was continually out of town unavailable for comment.

    Well he did send them a tweet so there is that. Do you seriously believe this? He could of just been out of town and unavailable for comment and than everyone who dislikes the shake up and cutting going on would have felt like old times.

    UND came out of the locker room saying “hold my beer and watch this”. Lazy play this half. Not a lot of heart/fight on this team.

    Hopefully Geno takes being on the second team personally. He has the all around game to be the best player in this league if he stays focused on the game on the court.

    I will gladly tell them as a Fargo resident that I think women’s hockey at NDSU is a great idea. My daughter would love the exposure it will bring their university.

    I think NDSU should start women’s hockey because UND dropped it. It would be a great story for them and give them lots of publicity. 200 fans would absolutely love it.

    There are probably a number of scholarship kids on this years team that could leave and no one would notice. A 6’10” 230lb project? I’d roll that dice at our level. Every big kid we get will be a project regardless what “recruiting guys” on this board think.

    I think we have 3 quality guys in the roster right now. No team is winning with a 4th string QB.
