I'd like to think guys are getting important reps now but it also depends on how a few come back from injury. I will say this is one year I think a JUCO/transfer will be needed at a couple positions and if a run is expected we can't miss on those players. Also, we replace the QB which at any level is the most important position on the team. I've heard the best QB on our roster isn't eligible this year but time will tell if that's true.

We were physically beat up in every game we have played this year. Physically when you take a pounding over and over, injuries are going to happen.

I don't think you can rule out strength and conditioning either. Everything needs to be evaluated right now. The team hasn't looked the part for the last 3-4 years and this years squad won't scare anyone getting off the bus on either side of the ball. Even the proven players are playing on skates this year. Getting beat up physically ties back to S&C.

What do playoff wins have to do with regular season games?

Of all the Dakota teams so far, USD has looked the most impressive and has the best resume.

UNDs loss was embarrassing no matter how USD does the rest of the way. USD got up big yesterday and went to the UND offense run, run, pass, punt. I'd say giving up 27 unanswered on the road vs a top 20 team and still winning, they must be doing something.

USD pouring it on Western Illinois. Up 31-6 with 9 minutes left in the 3rd. Streveler will run away with FCS player of the year if he stays healthy. He is so good.

It's a legit question. I like the strength coaches but our team has got its ass kicked the last two weeks. Out muscled and out manned.

Thinking ahead they need to work to get security figured out before November or for the future any potential December games. I know the play on the field needs to improve but people won't stand in the long lines outside when it is below freezing outside.

They don't have to ask him, they just ban them from practice. Goes back to Craig Bohl and reporting off field issues. There was a point where according to players on those teams Jeff was not given the time of day by Bohl. Now he is a puppy dog.

The real question should be why did NDSUs athletic dept. want Kolpack to write the article? He is their puppet.

John didn't see much time in the backfield in the 2nd half and really only seemed to be returning punts. Not sure if he was tired, injury or they just wanted to see what Brady could do. There was one or two pass plays to Brady that happened when John was in early.

UND- 17 MSU-15 UND holds them on a two point conversion with 1:41 left in the game.

DL getting penetration wil help. Against USD they did ok holding the line but we need them to get into the backfield. Against USD the RB and QB were getting to the line of scrimmage before being contacted and then falling forward for a gain of 3-4 minimum. Also, maybe reduce the DL down to church we the "B gap" and let the ILBs cover outside. Not ideal for a pass rush and contain but I feel better trying to get a team to 2nd and 8 or 9 vs 2nd and 5 every series like USD was.

We cannot install a 4-3 defense in 4 days while trying to game plan bs an opponent. Have to roll with what we have and our defensive line have to play huge this week.
