They judge the defense on lack of offense? If you read any opposing coaches comments, every coach knew how good our defense was coming into games with UND.

Majority of starting D is back. Lose a couple in the secondary and one in the d line.

UND vs Alabama State (Utah Tournament Day #1)

Agreed. For a true freshman last year I thought he played well and he will be key to any run we make this year. We do have a lot more back court depth than front court so he can take his time and get to 100% -

Tough deal with the injury to Hooker but if there is a position we can afford someone to miss a few games its at the guard spot. Still wish he was healthy for tomorrow night. Glad to see a tournament win. -
It's not really a bold prediction to say a transfer RB will be added to the team.
-
The selection committee has not really shown it puts a ton of weight on strength of schedule. Get to 8 wins and have all if them be FCS or higher and your chances of getting in are great. That being said, UND and it's program had shown no signs of not being willing to play anyone. It's the conference rotation that left EWU off the schedule.

Pretty neat that Dranka got HM DE as a true freshman. Coaches recruited him in their months time. Him and Greely will be solid for us going forward. Especially if they can put on 15 lbs. each.
-
Any transfer/Juco players that we can get up here for 2nd semester and spring ball will be huge. Give them a chance to adapt and the coaching staff some time to work with them and determine if they are going to work out. Also gives additional time to get some of the clearinghouse stuff worked out. Didn't one of the dback from last year have paper work issues?
-
I think he'd make a better AD when Faison retires. That is what I should put on the Xmas wish list thread.
-
They win by two. EWU will be tough this year.
-
I don't think anyone would argue the need to continue to recruit OL. 4 games ago was the problem the OL or was the problem a true freshman QB under center? Our starting rb rushed for a total if 650 in those 4 games.
-
Unless one is a transfer or it's the top two qbs on the board I don't think we can bring in two this year. Too much depth to develop to spend on a position where only one can play.
-
Great post above. Thank you to all the seniors. Laying the foundation for getting this program back to where it once was.
-
Last years OL recruits- Steiner, Francis and Delmon Taylor were guys who had offers from MVFC teams that generally have solid OLs along with several FBS offers. I'm hoping they have a good offseason and at least one is ready to go and at least another can give minutes for depth.

The problem is the state of North Dakota has 11 (by my quick count) state funded colleges. Drawing the line on which projects to find would be a nightmare. I am all for out state keeping state money out of projects like this.

Also, the players to finally realize that summer conditioning is the key to successful programs and 100% attendance in GF this summer. Baukol to figure out a way to do something with them when they do. Have the guys who need to bulk up lift twice a day. FU has done this for years and it's worked wonders. Need to dedicate themselves to conditioning as well and be equally as conditioned as fu next fall. Offseason needs to be the best and most challenging this program has seen. Time to be a D1 program.

Domo Blackmon to develop into the player who had multiple FBS offers Drew Greely and Brandon Dranka to each out on 15 lbs Dylan Baaker and Harmeston to add some depth to the already solid LB crew. Tank Harris to be a solid backup NG. Another tall, athletic safety to play alongside Reyes
-
Harris played a good game today. Carter was solid early in the year. Hopefully Flowers develops into the player we thought he could be.
-
If any other team was conference runner up and lost 95% of their scoring they would be written off. He also lost the best player in the conference last year. I think he's actually built a better team despite having much less experience. I call that rebuilding.
-
No. Isn't it time you put your knee pads on. Someone in your GOBC needs something
-
Lots of comments about the good job jones has done rebuilding.
-
Free throw shooting was not good again. Missed some key ones at key times.
-
Disappointing second half by UND.
-
Time to show their experience. This is where we will be lacking from last year.
-
UND 60 BU- 51 7:51 left to play.
