I hope we signs of this group playing better as a team now towards the end of the season. Too much fancy passing from the top line and not much contribution from others. We have some work to do in order to hang any banner.

Totally agree - in addition, if we don't have a few more guys that can put the puck in the net it may be a short tournament season.

Just got back from the game and Wow - for many reasons Wow - what a crappy game for the most part - no flow, and if our first line is shut down we got nothin Wow are we impressed with our passing ability from the first half and seek to improve it by getting even fancier - just make the basic passes please Wow - This is not a championship team of any kind for the last 3 games Wow - is Luke Johnson playing with a wooden head or what? The guy never learns Wow - so glad to get a win out of this mess.

I feel a little like Knute Rockne must have when he told a Notre Dame team at half time "why don't you go out and hit them with your press clippings". Time to bear down.

So, by your theory of "ifs", the Vikings are 6 time almost Super Bowl Champs. The sad fact is that this is not the only game that has come down to the wire where we had last shot and got of a low percentage/crappy shot.

Just saw the final shot on the sports. What the actual hell? - This is what we come up with after a time out. As someone who grew up watching Dave Gunther, Jones drives me absolutely nuts.

The boys worked hard tonight and Cam was great, but if we don't find anyone else other than the top line that can finish it will come back to bite us. Very disappointed in some that should be scoring this year.

Who's bashing Hak - there is a difference in style of play and it is noticeable and being discussed. I thought that was a pretty accurate description of Hak's system/.

I feel you are partially correct in that you need to take steps to counter what the defense gives you. However, I find it hard to believe that the same teams we have been playing for years all of a sudden have as a group changed their defenses. If you think in basketball terms, some teams are much more of a fast-break type than others even though we all know that offenses need to match the defense (zone, man-to man, press). If an up-tempo team and a controlled team play against the same opponent you will see very different games. Same in hockey.

Not AZ here, but from my prospective we carry in the puck much more which allows for much more creativity especially with the top line - not nearly as much ringing the puck around the boards. Players seem to have more freedom to create this year.

I could not agree more - totally different skill sets - and from the way Lennon left us I see no reason to "reward" him with a job now. As much as I appreciate Roger's contribution to Sioux football, his AD term was a disaster that we are still trying to dig out of.

Name one time that a Jones team had a team strategy, a recognizable offense, or played together as a unit. We are digging ourselves another Musshole and condemning another program to over a decade of mediocrity and crappy play. Absolutely no leadership from Jones or Faison. Time to contact the AD.

Not disputing that Bubba is a class act at all - however, he and his staff presided over two of the biggest second half collapses I have ever seen at home. No doubt we got hosed, but in many respects we did it to ourselves.

No doubt we are relying on the logo to salvage a bland if not crappy team name - My suggestion is that we don't let the tools (looking at you, UND administration) who brought us this new nickname any way near this logo design.

Jones' tenure has the makings of a Mussman like craphole that we will have to dig ourselves out of. Everyone that watches sees the same thing except the AD. Why is UND struggling at everything but hockey?- because we don't have the collective will to demand winners.

I agree with you - I'm not saying we should shoot more into traffic, I'm saying that we should be able to get some good shots. Even 5 on 3 didn't give us any great opportunities. This endless teeing it up and then passing it around the perimeter until we lose it seems futile. Other teams are able to work some bang bang plays every once in a while off the power play - we seem to be almost frozen.

Nice bounceback win by the boys - however I can't for the life of me figure out why year after year with all of the talent we have had that we continually have such a pathetic power play - move it around the edge, tee it up, play with it, pass it again, move it around front again, then either lose it or shoot into a crowd. Same every year. Other less talented teams seem to come up with a nice quick pass and a goal some of the time. This is a problem that has prevailed through numerous groups of talent and coaches. Anyone have an idea what in the wild wild world of sports is going on? With a decent power play this is a whole different weekend.
