  1. UND-1

    2015 season

Stick to slandering high school kids on Bisonville, Dan. Burgundy will back you up.
  2. A blind supporter of the team with the worst GPA on campus is talking about IQ. That's rich.
  3. Not surprised at the halftime locker room blowup, par for the course. Even less surprised that the player started the 2nd half and there were zero repercussions. What kind of a message does that send to the rest of the team?
  4. Pretty good summation. Although, some have argued that the OOC doesn't matter and frankly, the record is acceptable. Conference tournament results have been positive the past two years-gave themselves a chance. But, they aren't going to make it this year. The whole transfer experiment has been a "meh" for me. Nash is a nice wing with length and logged a ton of minutes, Coleman has been OK, Shanks is pretty much a freshman so I don't even include him as a "transfer" and he has been pretty good, de Rouen has been poor, IMO, Calcaterra and Salmonson don't even play, Tyler has been pretty steady and as advertised, Hobaugh brings good energy. To me if you are going to bring in a ton of transfers, at least 1-2 of them should be difference makers. UND seems to have gotten a whole bunch of role players but no stars. Hooker, a high school signee, is their star. We will have to wait and see who is all on the team come next fall based on the eligibility, etc. The incoming freshman look good but obviously aren't going to turn around the program next year. That is up to Hooker, Shanks, and Tyler. Team GPA could be a lot higher, believe it was the lowest of any team on campus. But, that changes semester to semester so might not be a big deal.
  5. Seriously? Can't make it up. 1 of 3 technicals UND got last night, no biggie. A lot of teams get 3 technicals in a game.
  6. Have to agree with you on the "process" that Faison supposedly uses. I know with 98% certainty that he did not have his own "short list" of names ready to go when he fired Mussman. He started completely from scratch and the proceeded to take 38 days to do it. Typically, an AD will have a list of names written down if/when they start to think they going to make a coaching change. He had nothing. He also could have asked to speed up the timeline to hire the coach but he didn't because there was no reason to, nothing was ready anyway.
  7. Can Dean Brescani give up whining to the legislature for lent? That guy is the biggest baby, whiner I have ever seen. Everybody is out to get him and NDSU, all the time.
  8. You basically summarized everything that was already pointed out, but calling it a lie due to slight timing issues. Also, of course the other schools were ready to pounce on the left over money, somebody had to use it up. Don't you think UND might have slipped in a few "student-athlete" donations had they not been verbally told, "these are not for athletic related donations"? They have scholarship issues, too.
  9. You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. It was laid out in this thread what happened and what should have happened. It was made explicitly clear to all that no athletic endowments are to be submitted but NDSU didn't have any other donations to use so they tried to push it through late and see what happened. Well, they let them and two others do it for some reason.

    2015 Recruiting

Pretty sure he is a preferred walk-on.
  11. Don't need a head coaches opinion, I know it already...just sayin. More wondering if people on here know a reason why or an angle I am not seeing. A current player made it clear they dislike Adidas for "injury reasons", I got that.
  12. Because UND is finally realizing that branding one logo on all merchandise for fans and jerseys is a benefit and streamlines things. Having Reebook, Adidas, Nike and Under Armour gear in stores is not advantageous. I realize they can still do this without basketball signing on. My question is why is basketball above wearing Adidas? If 95 football players and 15 womens basketball players can wear Adidas, why is mens basketball too good for it?
  13. OK. Everything I said about them not wanting Adidias has been proven to be true. My opinion is that they are in no position to be demanding a certain type of shoe/apparel based upon their stature as a program (no UND program, sans hockey, has that stature) and what they are doing is laughable. Especially when every other program on campus is fine with it. Its a shoe. Not like UND is trying to push Pro Spirit's on them. To sum it up, I and many others didn't say anything that isn't a realistic opinion, but yes it is just an opinion.
  14. Why don't you let us know what is 'untrue' about the statements of the past hour and 31 minutes.
  15. No, they have Nike right now and are 8-13. Can you imagine if Faison forced them to wear Adidas? They would be 0-21.
  16. Fortunately for football, the HC realizes the state of the program and is focusing on things that matter. player grades, getting out and supporting university activities, recruiting in ND/MN, engaging alumni, and so on. Whatever logo is on the uniform/shoes is indifferent to the football program.
  17. It just shows how delusional the program is right now. They as a team, including their head coach, honestly think the brand of clothing they wear matters. It is embarrassing.
  18. 3 seniors, 4 juniors and 1 sophomore in the 10 man rotation. That is not "young". Some might be new but they aren't young.
  19. LOLOLOLOL! You gotta be f'in kidding me with these guys. A team with an 8-13 record is dictating what type of shoes and apparel they will wear. You cannot make it up. How in the hell could Rick Pitino possibly win a national championship at Louisville when his players were wearing such inferior gear?
  20. The money was going to get spent either way. What was left over from each school would go back into a new pool and everyone could start applying for the left over money.
  21. The problem is that 8 of the 11 schools heard and obided by the rules were when they were explained. The schools were told that "absolutely NO athletics or brick and mortar for athletics are to be involved in this". So UND complied, even when they have the IPF going on, along with the same scholarship issues everyone has. NDSU hadn't used up their pool of money yet so they pushed through those athletic endowments at the very end to try and get more of their money. UND had already used their pool up with the Med school, Law school, etc. but could have put some athletics in their originally had they known that Wrigley wasn't going to stick to his own rules. As you can see from the article, Deanna Zink even called out Wrigley and he still let them go through.
  22. I believe that would be Mr. Wrigley, himself.
  23. So the fans are oblivious to the other games on the schedule? I believe they write articles about all those losses, also. If a team has a .500 or worse record, the fans know it.
  24. The North Dakota number depends on how many end up at NDSU. For example, if NDSU signs 4 players from North Dakota next year, there will have been 4 legitimate D1 recruits. If they sign 7, the answer is 7. And so on.....
  25. That is assuming everyone on your list will be eligible next fall.
