Doesn't sound like you trust the Bubba very much when reading your posts. A lot of questioning of the decision in your last two posts. You are obviously a Mollberg guy but it should be pretty telling that he is 3rd behind Bartels, even. For you guys going by last years stats...seriously? The kid didn't start practicing with the #1s until after the Portland State game (Week 8). Then what does he get for a first day on the job? Eastern Washington in the Inferno. He was 18 years old, give the kid a chance. Mollberg has had two years to show us and hasn't done it yet.

With the QB battle it is mental more than anything. Studsrud is the smarter, more cerebral QB and makes better, quicker decisions.

MKSioux already addressed it. So basically the NCAA is going to come up with fancy new lingo related to the old rules, though not exactly saying that UND violated the old agreement. It will say they don't comply with the new rules (that are directly related to not moving forward from the Sioux name). Does that sound better?

So the NCAA would need to use another reason related to the Sioux nickname and not fully retiring it/moving forward as the basis for the sanctions. Is that what you are saying?

Also, your idea of good solution is to not do anything, stay North Dakota, wait for the NCAA to tell UND they need a nickname, then do the entire process over again? That is best for the University of North Dakota?

Since I am uninformed after reading 100's of posts on this, why don't you explain in one sentence why I am wrong? Just so you don't wear yourself out.

There are not new sanctions for every policy. I know one of them was not being able to host a home playoff game in any sport, etc. That right there is enough for me but probably not for you. Would probably have to look back 5 years and find what the rest of the sanctions were. Don't care enough but they are real. The NCAA can simply put UND back on sanctions for NOT meeting the stipulations of the agreement. Would pretty much be like having the Sioux name again, no? And for everyone who says "then we would sue them"....who is going to pay for the lawyer fees on "our" end? Not UND or the State I know that.

Why do you keep saying the sanctions don't exist? They exist. Whether they are applied to UND is yet to be seen.

When you're the champ, you act how you want. That's fine. But, the problem is they have reacted and acted this way for 30 years. New coach, same story. I can guarantee you they are now saying that kid wouldn't be able to live up to the "Bison Way", if he thinks like that. Much like Carey Woods was labeled.

I think there is some family reason's involved down where he is from. Tough decisions need to be made sometimes. He played pretty well last year and would have again this year.

Losing Hinojosa is a loss in reps and depth, yes. But not as big a loss as one would think when factoring everything into the equation. They will be just fine as a team.

I would hope they could pull some good recruits after what they have done lately. UND needs to try and slowly get some high-end kids along with some diamonds in the rough that need to pan out. Then, recruiting will slowly get easier but right now they obviously have trouble vs. NDSU for reasons we all know.

Can we just call this what it currently is: Hockey vs. Everyone Else who ever attended UND. It's quite obvious when looking at twitter and this site that it's ex/current-hockey players and current hockey fans complaining about not being able to stay "North Dakota". I have yet to see a football fan want to stay North Dakota and I know a lot of them. Hell, the hockey SID wants to move on and support the university. BTW, did anyone hear about what Chelsea Moser said in one their committee meetings awhile back? To paraphrase secondhand, she said the volleyball team was instructed to go by "UND" or "North Dakota" back in the 2012-2013 range because the name is gone and that is the new name. Then, she openly asked why hockey players continue to keep referring to the name and openly supporting it when volleyball was explicitly told to stop and support the new process and transition. Not a bad question.

Let me guess, you got the offer list from Bisonation? We went through that years ago with the 2-star thing. Some of the most average/worst players in the program were Rivals 2 stars because they went to a Rivals camp. It was a joke.

1 bailed. The other didn't qualify once grades were submitted. Not much UND could have done about it.

Tread lightly on the Juco "offers". Those kids turn a simple phone call into a full offer 1 minute after getting off the phone. It has happened many times in the past year.
