Quite the series of events. From committing to UND to committing to SDSU to committing to UNI. Plus he visited USD last weekend I believe.
-
Had heard this was the case but Scout confirmed that UNI pulled a "Harbaugh" and yanked Tolu Ogunrinde's offer at the last minute. So he ended up at SDSU. The kid had said he "decommitted", but there is usually a reason why. Not sure if UND ever offered him. http://www.scout.com/college/football/recruiting/story/1635841-ogunrinde-commits-to-sdsu

It was said in there that Cloyd visited and Andre Randolph also came on his official visit (and decommitted from Army).

Look at UND's defensive lineman, in particular their size. He is NOT playing defensive line. Ever. He is a PWO guard type. A project. Needs to lose some weight to get moving.
-
Decent point. My first thought would be that most people don't classify a team as "class of the conference" until they have actually done something, like Weber and Montana. Idaho hasn't and probably shouldn't be included.
-
I will agree with most that it is quite obvious things are going better this year. Defense is being played consistently. The extra pass is being made. Boxing out is occurring. There just seems to be a real team out there that enjoys playing together. Lets also realize that they have beaten the #5, #6, #8 and #12 teams in the conference. Their next two games are against poor teams in UNC and SUU. To show they are truly turning the corner I want to see a win or two vs. Weber, Idaho or Montana. They are the class of the league this year.

Nice to see an ass kicking. NAU is absolutely terrible but the nice thing is UND is treating them like they are, also.
-
You may be on to something, hearing the same. Stay tuned.
-
Good analogy. That is one thing I hope the staff is thinking about. UND hasn't gone after anybody's recruits much at all in recent years. Might be time to start. At worst you drive up the price on those schools and make them overpay.
-
Distance and money. UND didn't offer a full, IIRC.
-
I like Pinke. UND needed another TE also, so it will be interesting to see who pops up now.
-
The MVFC teams are offering fulls to every good player in the 5 State region right now. SDSU is leading the charge cause their class is in shambles. Not much you can do when they are 4 hours closer and offer way more money.
-
Wow. I would hate to be a college coach these days. Say one thing do another, commitment...etc..
-
Think it was this guy, also. Too bad.
-
Sounds like the end of the game was a big enough deal that Jones called out to Montana to smooth it over the next day. But we were all overstating it.
-
More than not, yes. Happens I guess. Somebody would have heard about him visiting if they were in contact with him. Especially with all the corners/safeties they are going after now. Plus, they just lost Chinn and there is nothing.
-
Just for clarification, I think Griffin was spring "offer", then see how senior year goes. There wasn't an official visit setup or much contact lately.
-
Totally comparable.

Another thing I have noticed is Hooker has gotten the last shot twice (that I know of) to win/tie the game and both times he drove it into traffic and came up with nothing, grazing the rim only. Vs. NDSU and Montana. He is not exactly an acrobatic, high-flyer out there. Wouldn't he be more suited for a one-on-one at top of the key and then maybe a pull-up jumper, which he is so good at, or a kickout if doubled? Seems like he goes in way too deep and then can't get the shot off because all the big guys come over to contest. I know it's nitpicking but it reminded me of the NDSU ending.
-
Or the fact that they didn't score over the last 3:08 seconds of the game.
-
Distance was an issue. Frankly, I am wondering what took those teams so long to discover Chinn. Legit 6'2" corner.
-
Yes it hit the backboard first. Close but it did.
-
I can't recall anybody bragging about his fly-by handshakes and poopy pant face on the sidelines, even during/after wins. He is just much worse when they lose.
-
Ummmm, have you watched our coach? Whiney cry babies is probably not the term to bring up about the OTHER team if your a UND fan.
