    Pep Band

The cheer team can ride with me in my van.
  2. If Hirsch is good enough to play, he is fair game to tease. If he was MIA or still off the team, he should be off limits. Just my 2 cents
  3. For the first time in schools history the university of Minnesota won the Final 5 in Madison wisconsin, the west regioal in ann arbor michigan and the frozen four in Boston, it won all these tourneys without home ice. what road warriors.
  4. Settle down Hirsch Serenity now, serenity now
  5. I didn't mean to knock the suburbs, just stating that Dubay is a cakeater who has had everything handed to him and still has everything givin to him. He is the only expert I know on both hockey and Basketball.
  6. PA is Paul Allen. He has a radio talk show on the Fan 1130 am from 9-noon. Dubbay is just the ultimate Minnesota sports rube who doesn't know very much about hockey. But every year he thinks the Twins will win the world series, the Viks will win the Superbowl and so on. Just the typical bandwagon jumper from the suburbs.
  7. Millionaire had some great pictures and signs. I also like the ESPN: Eastern schools play for nothing. During the 1st game when its quiet (im sure that will be quiet a lot because them schools will have on 7 fans each that will probably fly together) The entire Sioux crowd stand up and chant WE WANT DENVER. Its cocky, but intimidateing too. Beware of the GREEN MACHINE It to bad we are not playing a different team, BU and BC were so scared we were up 2 goals before the game started.
  8. Every statement in that interview gets me more and more fired up for the Frozen four. BRING IT ON
  9. Hey Boston, Please send the Beanpot to Ralph Engelstad Arena 23 Ralph Engelstad Blvd Grand Forks, ND 58201
  10. Anyone who has ever read any of my posts must realize that I always try stay positive. I, like other Sioux fans expect them to win every game. I guess that is one bad thing about being the best program, when things don't go right people get upset. I always try and stay positive and be optimistic threw the good and the bad. If we have a bad game or down season, you can still enjoy watching how hard the teams work and on every team you get to watch future NHLers. This team could have cashed it in towards the end of the year because things werent going right. But it showed a lot of charcter and heart over the last few weeks. The turning point of the year is when Hakstol told the seniors this is your team and it will only go as far as you will take it. You can tell the upperclassman (every senior and junior on the team) accepted their role and have took their game to the next level and it trickled down to the rest of the team. Everything is clicking and we are right where we want to be. If you could have picked who you want to beat at the Frozen four a couple weeks ago, I think all the players and fans would say Minnesota and Denver. Heres our chance, cant wait to watch it happen. Thanks you a great season and Fight on Fighting Sioux.
  11. Every year is a great year for Sioux Hockey, even if our teams are down we still have great athletes to go out and support who give it 100% every game, unlike the pro's. No one will be locked out because there isnt enough scholarship money.
  12. Denny Crane Federov That was the best post ever
  13. Best of luck Robbie on a full recovery. I am praying you get back to normal.
  14. Does anyone know what time on sunday they announce the brackets and what channel will it be on. Last year I think it was on ESPN NEWS or was it ESPN2. I looked on their website and couldnt find anything.
  15. How about a sign ripping Earl for not making the world junior team. Someone else can think of something creative.
  16. All the D are TUFF right now
  17. I only caught half the announcement, but I am sure it is where the alumni gathering is. Maybe if someone finds out they should start a special thread. But they said it start thursday at 4 or 4:30.
  18. They announced at the game last night for Sioux fans to meet thursday before the game at Great Waters brewing Co.
  19. Just what Duluth needs next year, another cheap player who will get a lot of penalties.
  20. Last night I could here viks announcer Paul Allen screaming into the mike saying Fabian scores, Dave Hakstol turns to the crowd and says"What do you think of my fourth line now." LOL Only PA and Dubay listeners will under stand that. to answer questions last night when Canady went out Zajac played with the fourth line a couple times. Tonight we must put the pressure on Prpich, Fylling and Porter. Bringdeanback Stick to FAGSONICE or Gopher dead or alive or what ever that dumb websit is. Goaltending and special teams wins big games and last nigh Duluth didnt have goaltending. I love the Seniors this team will only go a far as they carry them. Gritty performance by Colby and Rory.
  21. If you look at the Sioux teams since 1997, how many guys have went from the 4th line, to the 1st line. There may have been a few. Guys are brought in for their specific purpose.Guys like Canady, Prpich, Fylling and Kaip will always be on third or fourth line. In the past there was guys like Armburst, Dafauw, Bull even Spiewak and Noterman (although they scored some) were more your role players, penalty killers. But them guys are never going to be skilled guys you want on the ice when you pull the goalie or guys you want on your power play. It seems like the Gophers had the same 4th line for four years (Jon Wibbel? Fleming and smaagard). Masson was brought in as a goal scorer, but now he has a different role and he is doing it well. You have to remember evr guy on the Sioux, Gophers, Badgers or other top teams was one of the best players on their junior, high school or midget team.
  22. I can't believe any of you are qualified to make fun of any of these players. How many of you (I am talking to the people being critical of players) ever played hockey and how many of you ever played a division 1 sport or for that matter sports after High school (not counting intramural). Every team has a 4th and 5th line, a couple back up goalies and a 7th and 8th defensemen. These are the guys that could cause internal problems or friction in the lockerrooms. These are the more dedicated players for going to every practice working hard and not getting to play much. I would rather be on the Sioux 5th line then another teams 3rd line.
  23. Congrats to Brian Lee. Cant wait to see #22 wearing GREEN. I hope he is a second or 3rd rounder (being selfish) then maybe he will be here longer then 2 years. The best thing he should to me was dedication by staying at Moorhead to try and win with his buddies. Congrats MR. Minnesota
  24. Every recruit is different. Some like the tradition (all the championships and NHL players produced here). Some think the coahes are the #1 reason. Some like the facilities. The location helps for guys from Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Western Ontario. Some like a college town and to be the #1 game in town on page 1 of the newspapers. with some its connections. We scored BIG with Parise, which led to the Shattuck connection. Lincoln helps us out. We have a good connection in BC which has been great to us over the last 30 years. Strong support of alumni especially former players who send their sons here (Duncan, Chorney, Wilson and others. And I suppose some like the school.

    Kessel

I wonder if Kessel would have committed to Wisconsin, if Lucia would have sent his allstar recruiting team to try and change his mind (breaking NCAA rules) like they did with Zack Parise.
