How would we end up in Minnesota. I dont even think Duluth has a real chance to catch us. I bet Sioux per Villian owned a Oilers jersey in the 80's, took turns the last few years wearing his Devils jersey and Red Wings jersey and last june he bought a Lightning jersey.

If you look at a lot of USHL and NAHL rosters all of the teams bring guys in for 2 days and then keep them or cut them. Last year Bismark must of had over 40 guys come in and out and they made it to the National Championship game. It's very competitive.

Last March all of these would have been totally opposite and look what happened. This is a good time to play Denver because its time for them to have a set back and we are just the team to do it.

If Minnesota gets swept this weekend, they might have to start worrying about making it into the regions. GO BUCKY GO Keep the Gopher meltdown going.

How is it that out shooting a team 52-20 is not very impressive. If a high School team gets 30 shots in a game, thats really good. If a team gets 40 shots in a game thats awesome, over 50 shots is total domination. Boy Moorhead has the pressure on them. If they dont score 10 goals, everyone thinks they are average. And I heard that Vandevelde is a late bloomer and that is why Blais got him commited so early. Probably the same reason Gretzky drafted Blake wheeler, who doesnt have that many points in the USHL considering he is a number 5 overall pick. Think long term with these players. Vandevelde has 5 hatricks. I dont care who there against, how many guys from any section 8 school gets 5 hatricks in a season (with more to come). jloos knows the Moorhead program and I like the insight he gives. Is any other Moorhead guys got plans yet for next year. What do you think of Jordy Christian?

Wouldn't it be ironic if the Sioux goal scoring drought continued next weekend against BSU. Could you imagine if Lane Sedivie (a kid we had commited and dropped) shut out the Sioux. He will be trying hard to gain respect. Nothing against the kid, but hopefully we can score 10 next week and get some confidence.

He sounds like a relative of mine That was a good one. Maybe if this kid comes to UND he will tackle Oshie in practice and hold him down when they are working pulling there goalie. LOL

Was this was the Huge comeback in game 3. Duluth was down like 3 goals in the third and a defensmen scored and I head a story that the Dman that scored skated by the Gophers bench and said "remember the North Dakota comeback, just like Curtis Murphy" Meaning earlier that year UND cameback by 3 with the rally started by Curtis Murphy. I heard Coach Sertich used this in the lockerrom to pump his guys up. The next week at the Final 5 Duluth lost in OT to St. Cloud. Dogs goalie was Gasparini who was playing for an injured Nickelin. The Ot winner was scored while Gasperini was being held down by a former high school teammate Ruzinski.

Welcome Mr. Towes to the Fighting Sioux family. We have heard a lot about you and we cant wait for next year to watch you play. Another great one from Winnipeg like years past we had James Patrick, Bob Joyce, Russ Parent, Lee Davidson, Lee Goren, Colby Genoway and many others. Not to mention another great to wear number 9 like Dusty Carol, Greg Johnson, Landon Wilson, Jason Ulmer and others. I could only imagine the stress you and your family had to deal with in trying to make a decsion on where to play, but we Sioux fans are very happy with your pick and we know that the rest of your life you will never ever have any regrets for choosing UND. The college days are always some of the best days in most people's life and everyone should experience it. You will make friends for life and as you can tell we have proud alumni who are dedicated to the program for their entire lifetime. You can know you made the right decsion and now you can relax and just play the game. Cant wait to see you play and good luck on the rest of the year.

I hope no one breaks their legs jumping off the bandwagon. Some of you sound like Viking fans. It's always easy to cheer for teams when they always win. I cant believe some people think the Sioux dont have a chance to win one game this weekend. We dominated CC last time, but lost 1 because of lack of scoring. CC has no depth. Minni looked unbeatable until now, they have lost 3 in a row and are having problems scoring. Remember they don't hand out trophies until march and April. Last year we swept Denver in their rink 6-2 and 8-2 (they didnt make it to final 5) and they didn't quit on the season. We are better then they were. Yes, we have been inconsistent and we still take to many penalties and unfortunately we have lost a lot of close games, but hopefully we learned a lot form them losses and we start putting it all together. Most of our loses we outplayed the other teams, we just didnt score, or find ways to win. WCHA is so good that anyone can win on anynight, but Drew started scoring and if that line gets hot and I think everyone believes Lammy will be the man in the pipes, we will be a tough team to beat. Never say never, thats why they play the game. The Viks beat the Pack last week, anything can happen.

I would like to think that there is a lot of things we could copy from the WJ tourney. The horns, cow bells and airhorns, the towel waving. We need to take lessons from the Canadiens otherwise the Ralph will feel like a library once again.

I think the most of the music at the Ralph and the timing of it sucks. A couple times last night the crowd was just starting the USA chant and they start playing that horrible song. I dont know the name of it but it goes like this "Shout, shout, let it all out" That song SUCKs. It sucked in 1982 and it still sucks in 2004.

Usa/Sioux game was more than half full. I would guess 8500 to 9000. The place holds 11,400 and had over 12,000 for it biggest attendance ever.

To the guy who asked about the Sioux playing michigan. U of M and Mich state have the same non confrence games every year. They play Minn and Wisconsin in the border battle and the Great Lakes Invitational and the only way to play them 2 schools during regular season would to be in the GLI. I would LOVE to watch a series vs. U of Mich. UND has no scheduled games in Michigan this year, but could end up playing the West regions in Grand Rapids on March 25-26. That wouldn't be a bad thing and if that heppens they will need all the fans they can get to cheer them on. To the New fan in Jersey when the NHL starts up goto a Devils Game and watch Zack Parise and Davis Hale 2 of our alums with more coming soon(Zajac), hopefully later. Talk to Devils fans and act like you have the inside scoop. Parise is going to be great and Zajac wont be for behind.

MN has had only 2 kids from GF in recent times. I like to see local kids stay, but if we can keep the Shattuck pipe line and start a Moorhead pipe line, you can have any Grand Forks kids for the next 5 years unless they have a brother playing for the Sioux.

This year is different for every team because of the way the league is calling everything. It seemed it took UND longer to adjust, and we were giving other teams 8,9,10 and even 11 Power plays per game. and 18- 5 on 3's in the first 12 games. No team in the world could win playing that shorthanded. Lets think positive, now we have cut our penalties in half and Brady is back, that will be Huge for our offense and Phil is stepping up. After the world juniors we need Drew to start scoring a goal a a game and we will be in top 3. Maybe this is a bad year to finish high because you have to be in regionals at Marriucci. Face it the league is so strong that us, Minni, Wisco, CC, Denver, and Duluth could all have a great shot at making it to Columbus.

Wow listen to all you experts. Before the season started, if Goligoski would have been named to the team, all you experts would be cutting him down. Brian Lee is said to be one of the BEST 17 year olds in the world and after he adjusts to the speed he will be one of USA's top 5 Dmen. He will win mr. Hockey and lead his team to a state championship and be a first or second round draft pick this summer. He is probably one of the few right handed Dmen which helps him and he has dominated at the world level at his age group every tourney he has been in. That doesn't mean he lead USA anywhere. They will be luckey to play in a medal game because Canada, Russian and Finland are so stacked, but Montoya could carry us alone. 17 year olds don't seem to impact at this tourney, but Lee will be better then Hagemo, Borer and Goligoski. Wait until the tourney is over and we will all see.

Thank you to Dale Lennon and his entire staff and the entire team for another great season. It was an awesome run and you had us sitting on the edge of our seats for the last few weeks. 1st there was a chance we wouldn't be in the playoffs and you blew out So Dak. Then that long st. cloud run could've ended the season and you forced a fumble, Grand valley almost stunned you at home and then there was the comeback. At Pitt State you battled tuff and if a few calls would of went your way you would be off to Bama. Thanks for the great memories and a special thank you to the seniors for writing your own chapter in the history books. THNK YOU

I read where Zajac tried out this summer and did really good, but it looks like the will be chosing the team from this russian challenge thing. Thats to bad, remeber that some canadien guy upset Brett Hull a few years ago. The team USA will be announced on tuesday, I wonder if any guys will be added that didnt try out. Assuming they are young enough (I dont know any birth dates) I bet that Goligoski or Peltier from Minnesota will be added. I wonder if Zack Jones or Taylor Chorney have a shot. And it was Mike Eaves (minnesotahockey journal) that said Potunly and Irmen may get added and it turned out both were to old, you would think he would know that.

I thought Lammy was still 19. I think you have to be born after Jan 1st 1985. You have to be under 20 yrs old before Jan 1st 2005.
