  1. Wow, sorry about the font deal. Don't know why that happened. I put it in at one size. Than you for the repost--that's readable!
  2. I was browsing a Kansas St message board out of curiosity. Seems we aren't the only board where these Ag Tech fans show their arrogance... Some are the same names we deal with. Here are a bunch of K-Stater replies (some are priceless) I am tired of you Bison fans and your “taking over our stadium” claims, to much is going on- with the new stadium and homecoming for the players. Sure you are faithful, but annoying as hell. If I remember correctly, Fox Sports 1 was created because of NDSU. Yeah, they were kicking around the idea for a new channel and then when they saw a DII team win back to back flag football championships, they were sold. They dang near think they are Alabama caliber. Your National Championship team lost to: Indiana State… Who lost to: South Dakota State… Who lost to:The Kansas Jayhawks, their only win. Just looked up Ag school rankings. KSU is ranks in the 50s for best Ag colleges in the WORLD. nDSU isn't in the top 200. I'm 57, 6'0", have NEVER lost a game of horse in this county. I guess I could whip Larry Bird's ass. I get you're not your typical 1-AA program. But we're not Minnesota. We're not KU, and we're not Colorado State. We're the defending Big XII Champs, we play big boy football around here. you're new name is noseeum....just some damn pest that annoys the hell out of everyone, with no real bite, but just won't seem to go away.... but alas, you are clueless on a whole new level.... I hope your additions to the gene pool have been limited It's easy to have a winning tradition if Sam Houston State or CSU are the toughest opponents you play. What a Kook! Cant wait to spank these boys and get them out of our state so they can go back to worrying about JV football. I just finished running my computer simulation and the 2013 NDSU Bison have defeated the 1985 Chicago Bears 34-21. It is true, the facts do not lie and the computer is always right. To be fair, the analysis used the current Bison starting line-up and the Bears 1985 line-up and the calculations were based on the two teams playing today. The Bears had to play without a couple of players who have passed away and their QB has dementia. Not to mention that their average age is approaching 55. None the less, it was a good game and the Bison were victorious scottsdaleping wrote: remember the bison badly dominated KU in 2010. Dominated? KU 14 first downs, NDSU 10.. KU 293 total yards, NDSU 168. The only reason you beat a pathetic KU team was turnovers. And even then it was 6-3. K-State, which was nowhere near as good as the 2013 squad is, beat that same team 59-7 on the same field in 2010. Geezus. Some folks are wondering if we should storm the field should we somehow manage to eke out a win. We stormed it last year after Texas/Big12 championship and NDSU, being ranked #1, is obviously a far superior team to Texas. Don't forget we are the 2 time defending NC team. Right... We'll, we'll just do the best we can. As far as those goal posts coming down, we still have to beat these 2 time defending champs, so, well...anyway. At least we beat Texas last year. And Oklahoma. And Oklahoma State. And TCU. And Texas Tech. And Iowa State. And on and on... I've never wanted to beat a bad non-con team so bad in my life. I hope Snyder opens it up on em.
  3. Picked up my caps from letsSIOUXum last night (thanks- also to MafiaMan for doing this). They are nice. I especially like the black, but gray was good too. Hope the weather holds and they are not NEEDED for a looong time yet....
  4. I have both Midco (home) and Direct (lake) with sports package on both and CBSSN is on both at this time.
  5. Fargo for me. Give an address and I will send a check now. (p.s.- if you get stuck on some of these I will help cover your losses too).
  6. I have used both over the past 5 years at my cabin. No pay as you go offer was given me to either. Both work well. Good install service to both. Both have good promo deals, but horrendous follow-up or upgrade costs. I wanted HD--had to change companies (Dish to Direct) to make it worthwhile for cost involved. (In NoDak) A buddy at work had to do the exact opposite switch for the same reason. (In Minn) So order one (takes 24 month commit) and when you are sick of the upgrade costs, just swap to the other. Last I got was Direct at Costco- that was the best deal of all that I've seen.
  7. How about this one (I swear it was said to my partner once--for real) "but doc--you have to refill my pain pills....I've got a truck payment due!"
  8. Sign me up for 2: 1 black, 1 gray neither with moniker
  9. Did you notice the Yale-UMass refs were our own (inconsistent) Lil Shep (Brad) and Anderson? They were in Yale-favored swallow-the-whistle mode late, after calling several minor incidents early. Yale really responded to the allowed physical side, but UMass did/could not figure it out.
  10. As my buddy texted me earlier: Minnesota (and Wisco) from the corner of "One and Done"
  11. Let's roll up George and the Gwozettes both nights boys ..
  12. BC has a player suspended before the Merrimack loss Friday: http://www.collegehockeynews.com/news/2013/02/15_bcs_hayes_suspended_indefinitely.php
  13. Were those tears of "emotion" or tears from the "quality" (or lack thereof) of the singing voices of those players? Ouch. I also cannot sing, but hopefully not that badly. Still it was classy to sing for the ceremony (but don't change day jobs boys ...)
  14. Just back home from the game. Wow were we outhustled tonight, over and over. We score 4 goals out of sheer talent. They score 4 out of great hustle and team play. Did not see that coming. I hate watching my team not skate, not hit, and stick out the stick instead of hustle... The no call on Rocco getting boarded was hard to swallow. Not even a 2! But when there were also no calls for the puppy dog dives toward the end- might have made up for it. The team really has to stop playing like gophers- with "my talent will win the day effort". We should be outworking every team with the depth we have. They CAN do it, as we've seen several prior Fridays. Lets hope we see it Saturday, and from now on.
  15. Would anyone have a DVD of this game to share? My cousin had to go to Illinois due to mother-in-law near terminal from cancer issues and missed the game. He asked if I could find a copy to see this great comeback. PM me if possible. Thanks.
  16. Beavers score early in 3rd for 5-4 lead now..
  17. Looks like Wisco would win tie breaker if AA-Bemidji end in a tie tonight. Same total points but Wizzco won 2 vs Bemidji and has 1 more overall win too (if it is a tie). Bemidji needs to win to go to UND if I read this correctly.
  18. Anyone see the first Sioux goal closely? We were on the other end of the rink, and I was sure someone (Sioux) was standing in the crease when the puck went out and back in to score. Tech coaches wanted a review, but even after discussion refs did NOT review it, just counted it. Any explanation why it as not waved off?
  19. Did a little "local paper" research on Russian Red team: Alexandria Blizzard game: Russians got up 4-0 by 2nd. Then when game at 4-1, Zabornikov gets 5 min major/ejection for "fighting with taped hand". During 5 min PP, Russians score a shortie for a 5-1 final. Bismarck Bobcats game: Bismarck goes up 2-0 by 2nd. Russians score to go 2-1. Russians really pressed in 3rd period, and "scored" at 0:54 left (light went on) but goal disallowed by refs who "lost sight before it crossed". Zabornikov was fighter again.. Yatsenkov ejected for butt-ending. Vs. UND it was Orlov ejected at end of 2nd (unsportsmanlike- after whistle hit). So in 3 games, 3 different Russian players ejected.. Might be a game plan idea for future opponents...
  20. BU crushed BC 5-0 this afternoon, great puck luck, PP, PK, even a shortie. First BU shutout on BC in many years. Announcers said BC leads nation in penalty minutes this year, and is their weakness. That means all 5 of the top 5 teams lost at least 1 game this weekend....
  21. Findland's Mikael Granlund scores in semi final of the World Chamionships last night with a Trupper like move lifting puck onto stick for a "top shelf" wraparound goal. Turns out to be the game winner too. Here is a link: http://watch.tsn.ca/featured/clip466646#clip466898 (Its from www.tsn.ca if that link doesnt work) Story link is here: http://www.tsn.ca/canadian_hockey/story/?id=365634# It is sweet to see!
  22. I agree with him about the ND hospital comments, a bit of humor in a poor call by ER doc. I also took my son to Altru after a "shoulder" injury at a Youth camp by Blais/Sioux a few years ago. He separated his clavicle-sternal joint, could not move his arm, I am an MD and saw the xrays myself. The ER doc told me he fractured his clavicle (what he pointed out was the posterior rib crossing an anterior one, not a fracture). The quick and incorrect opinion really left me scared for people who need to use this facility... Jesse having the same experience in a much more serious injury really brings this back to me. Not proud moments for ND ER care....
  23. ]Duluth was beaten 5-4 tonight by Denver. AND LOST IN OT!!! First OT loss this year, and at home.
  24. Love the idea posted in comments: Gophers have mistaken this part of the season as the "Frozen FORE" Must be out on a Minneapolis links now.....
