Tossing another one out there. With UND Aerospace growing and UND joining the Big Sky....SkyChiefs.
I see that Syracuse has a minor league baseball team that used the name from 1997 to 2006 and then reverted back to Chiefs. Texaco has a brand of gas call Sky Chief, using two separate words.
I also had Air Chief in mind, but SkyChief sounds better. One of the top ranks in the Air Force was an Air Chief Marshal.
Wait a minute Star, I thought all of the new jobs in the next 10 years were going to be green jobs. None of this sounds very green to me.
Thanks for all of the links. I'll read them after I get the troops to bed.
One of the best pieces I have seen written about the nickname issue in a while..... Sioux Everybody!
I agree with just about everything written. While the NCAA rule is PC crap and not evenly applied, the NCAA will ultimately win and UND will have to change the name.
Big announcement coming tomorrow from WMU .... Wow Western
I'm thinking it is conference related. I doubt you would put out such a production for a new coach being named??
Guesses on what it is.... Some Guesses on What Western Michigan’s Big Announcement Is
I like this one....
South 42nd development gains momentum
A number of new hotels built, being built and to be built along 42nd along with possible UND expansion along the corridor.
Looking forward to seeing Huff in action this year. Sioux BB is coming back after being absent for a few years. Last year seemed to be a turn-around year. Hopefully the fans will start to come back to see this young team.
SCSU hockey program leaders, fans hopeful for strong future despite conference changes
I once heard that Boston College and Boston U were asked and rejected the offer. Later I heard that wasn't true. So is he talking about?
Meeting rescheduled....... Fighting Sioux nickname meeting with NCAA rescheduled for Aug. 12
So the meeting will be after the new law is in place, but before sanctions begin. Should be interesting.
With all of the technology available today, why can't they have a video conference with the NCAA? it would save money, time and would make scheduling a whole lot easier, I would think. This does not need to continue to drag on.
That was my reason for wondering if perhaps there isn't some movement on the indoor facility. Galbraith is coming from a Big Sky school that he coached for 7 years to come to North Dakota, which isn't really known for a great track/field program. Something is pulling him to North Dakota.
