I know this has been posted before, but I wonder if it would be possible to use Spirit Lake Sioux as the nickname. I am sure that it would have to be approved all the way around the NCAA and conference circles. Pretty tough week for his Grandma, her grandson dying and the name she fought for losing the final battle.

I read on the KFGO where Kelley said that there will be new name in the near term. Apparently UND will go with "North Dakota". I would love to see "DAKOTA" on the front of the jerseys.

Over the years Iramurphy has always had some inside information on what is going on. I've learned to trust what he posts as being informed and thoughtful. Teeder11 fits that same mold. You may not always like or agree with what they are saying, but it is usually well thought out and dead on.

It likely won't outsell Fighting Sioux, but does no nickname sell, as well as the roll out of a new nickname? Sica has said it before, control what is yours to control. Get on board with choosing a new nickname or someone will choose it for you.

I was able to attend the UC-Davis game last year and I don't knowi if it was the offensive scheme or the QBs, but the Sioux didn't seem to be able to move the ball. Goska played the first half and was not effective. Hendrickson came in in the third quarter and seemed to move the ball better, but made some mistakes. If I remember correctly, Hendrickson was moved back to QB after Landry got hurt, so Marcus didn't have a lot of practice at QB. If Goska looked ineffective due to the style of offense being played, hopefully the change from the pistol will be helpful. If the problem was something else, hopefully Bradley is the answer to the last year's offensive woes. My hope, Bradley #1, Goska #2 and put Hendrickson in at a slot and get him the ball, as he definitely is a playmaker.

There was an article in the GFH today about the receiving corps. Whatever happened to Isaac Carrasco.from Dallas? I believe he was a redshirt last year and I don't see his name on the roster this year.

For a refreshing, but painful view of the current state of affairs, I recommend Neal Boortz, a Libertarian. The self proclaimed "High Priest of the Chruch of the Painful Truth. His show streams from 7:30 to Noon Central. Boortz co-authored the "Fair Tax", which if implemented would solve a lot of DC issues, but would take power away from 536 people in DC.
