  1. anyway there is a link to even listen, both audio and video feeds aren't working as usual
  2. Is any one elses internet video working? It won't load on my pc?
  3. The first reason that comes to mind as why not to do this is what myself and most other alumni will think of, TRADITION. This is the only conference UND has ever been a part of for hockey, and to switch would mean sacrificing over 50 years of WCHA. I actually think this would drastically effect the caliber of play as it would be harder to recruit. The more realistic situation is seeing BSU join the WCHA, as I think they could greatly improve by continually playing higher quality teams, which will benefit play recruiting and the quality of the product for the school. UND leaving the WCHA is like duke or North carolina leaving the ACC in basketball, just wont happen.
  4. Branding the franchise Toews, already appointed an alternate captain, knows the mission. "There is a lot of pride in the locker room and organization. We're just trying our best to bring hockey back to life in this city," he says. When was the last time a rookie was appointed alteranate captain!!!
  5. scored his first goal in his first period as a professional hockey player, not bad at all!
  6. I guess i'm in the minority here in thinking that this would be a bad thing for UND? I feel like Bunning has done a great job here while at UND. I would feel much more comfortable with an AD who has D1 experience during this transition, rather than a local who doesn't. Nothing personal to the locals, but the d1 experience would come in handy with scheduling and conference affilitian. If this is the case though, best of luck Bunning, at least one member of the sioux community will be sad to see you go.
  7. I really do the nickname is used as an excuse so they dont have to focus on all the other problems that are going on. I think the main problem is the way some of these kids are raised. Their being told that they can't succeed because there parents didn't have the opportunity, or something went wrong. The hardest problems to change are the ones that are passed down through generations and pushed do the side, and this is just pushing the problem to the side by using the nickname as a shield.
  8. did they say at all who is for sure so far for next year?
  9. Not sure if anyone saw this yet, but chris kuper is listed as a starter at right guard for the denver broncos. Looks like he was on his way to a fine career. denver broncos depth chart
  10. not sure on urbaniak, but glaser forgot that you have to go to class, heard he gained a bunch of weight and basically flunked outta school, can someone confirm?
  11. Dont know if this is big news but here is the linkblues invite duncan to training camp
  12. Yeah, Grieco was told by the coaches at his meeting that he had some maturing to do both on and off the ice, but it could be a misprint about eidness in 07, guess we'll just have to wait and see
  13. They almost lost to a transition D1AA team in a non conference schedule, that can't help with recruiting at all.
  14. oh i'm sure he just had some sparkling grape juice
  15. Please dont encourage him to talk anymore
  16. I'm sure he could still play for crookston if he really worked hard over the summer
  17. Your knowledge continutes to amaze me, he will be an elite dman in the wcha this year as a junior and is only at a sophomore age. Remember Commie, Greenie, and Smaby. They all adjusted freshman year, struggled the first half of sophomore year and emerged late sophomore year, then dominated junior year. Up to this point finley has taken the same path. Watch out, because this year he will turn into the formidable dominating dman that was expected when he was drafted in the first round.
  18. that would be a great area but the big probelm is practicing. There aren't a lot of courses in grand forks, and if Ray Richards is turned into a big complex, where would the team practice at? Kings Walk would be a no because thats a business. What about the land across from the Alerus Center?
  19. Plus its like playin on damn concrete! It seems like for an on campus field, the barnes and noble area is the only space available. If they could surround the entire field by stands and maintain the field better that would be nice. Then have a jumbotron at one end, and a scoreboard at the other, it would be a great facility right next to the ralph
  20. Weren't they gonna use that land for something else? I heard something about the indoor track facility possibly bein around there. Field wise that isn't to small, but i think it would be a mistake to use any field where the fans are that far away from the field, maybe the practice field behind the memorial stadium, if the trains weren't right behind it.
  21. They have had turf at the alerus center for the past five years but dont use it because it would cost to much to set up and take down with minimal fan attendance, on a strong day me and five buddies would be there along with maybe a couple other hundred fans, so the alerus is definetely to big, but playin in front of barnes and noble is just rediclous, that is a terrible field for the ladies!
  22. Man seein that picture makes me wish i hadn't graduated from the business program yet, what a gorgeous building. With the #8 entrepreneurship program and a very strong accounting program, the CoBPA is building itself to compete with the elites it is appearing!
  23. Stafford scores a backhanded beauty for his first playoff goal, wow!
