Ya, the Blues have a history of patience with their prospects, so I would be surprised if this happened. Thought it was interesting that discussions have even take place though, especially with how Oshie developed in the WCHA.

Yeah, I never liked the idea that the WHL is a better place to develop players. I normally don't believe this speculation, but Strickland is a very credible source. I say he stays at CC, but if the Blues want him to play a longer schedule I could see him bolting.

There is some speculation that Jaden Schwartz may be bolting CC for Tri-City of the WHL.....linky below. My link This is just speculation, but it does come from one of the Blues more credible beat writers, huge loss for CC if it happens though.

If were going after old NHL team names I vote for my favorite team, the Jets. It could also fit with the aviation theme.

I haven't taken NDSU seriously since they came out with the awesomely bad "Scream Yellow" marketing campaign. Personally the further we can distance ourselves from them the better of we will be.

I never had any interest in being in the same conference as the XDSU's, to me part of the perk of moving up was to separate ourselves from the old NCC teams. I would much rather play Montana and Montana St. as opposed to NDSU and SDSU twice a year in most sports and every year in football. It is still possible to have a rivalry without being in the same conference ( see Florida St. and Florida). Furthermore NDSU was begging to get into the conference when they got rejected, my question is what has changed these last 6 years to all of the sudden make it a second class conference to some Bison fans? UND was the first university in the Dakotas' to have athletic prominence on a national scale, we have the largest athletic budget in the Dakotas, and have the highest ranking academics in the Dakotas. If you ask me, I am quite happy with the direction of the university.

Have you seen us play the last couple years...at all? It looks like there are a couple of strong freshman this year and we have finally gotten away from the princeton offense, it is a nice change of pace that the program may finally be going in the right direction this year.

IMHO the two freshman can't be taken out of the lineup when healthy as they have earned it, while some of the upperclassm en have struggled. I see a top 7 as follows: Mac-Blood Genoway-Forbort Marto- Simpson Gleason and Lapoint out I want the Mac and Blood combo back and to me Genoway and Forbort together would be a great Combo

I always love crashing the Nitty Gritty a block a way from the Kohl Center decked out in all green, its a great time!
