THIS! To speak of the QB being the difference between W's and L's misses the point of what is really needed here. Bubba said as much in the Herald article. Are Beach and Orlando answers at DL? LB's with size and speed along with better on ball defenders at safety are required. Will the O line adequately replace the seniors starters? Those are the issues for next fall.

With Schuster, Vaughn and Feeney, can you think of any time in UND history that we had 3 better QBs than these?

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every game this year. I recall how loud the Alerus was during the playoff games years ago, and was impressed how loud the much smaller crowd was the last couple of games. it’s been a different season with a better atmosphere.

Your column highlighted something Hawks fans can be really happy about: Special Teams. Fake punt, blocked punt, blocked field goal, nice KO returns and we finally have a kicker who can kick into the endzone. HUGE difference the ST's have made last year and into this year.

Tommy has been great. No, he's not perfect, but puts the ball where it needs to be and there's been drops in both games that would have been long plays. The OLine has been very good, but he's taken some big hits and he continues to stand in there.
