Anyone can find Schmidt's post game comments on YouTube. As to losing the identity he meant the running game and how that redressed over the season. Sawyer also said that in the last few game they couldn't get 6 yards running on first downs.

I agree it’s what have you done for me lately, but I note the toughest games on the schedule were at K State and Montana early and they scored 62 when the QB was passing to his teammates and many or them NO complaints about OC

Scoring 40 points a game would also silence the doubters
