It's about recruiting and getting NEW types of players and that seems to be happening since Mal took over.
-
I'm guessing NO ONE on here wants a one and done or a 6-5. But the constant bitching about the team, coaches and players is getting old and just saying that doesn't mean I'm happy with 2 bad losses. I don't know anyone who is.
-
Didn't we go through the whole spring season with very few stupid penalties? Not sure what has happened, though the loss of Hergel Nquon were more than we contemplated.

I think Tommy or any QB is going to be as good as the OL allows. Babak is new to C. How many times did the timing of a play get disrupted bc of a high snap. That's an extra second or so to get the ball to Otis or find a received, and with a relatively porous line that second means a lot. Any word on Lotusz? He was the top C in the fall. And all of those calling for heads, how many players are gone to the transfer list as soon as that happens? Then you have another 3-5 years of a rebuild at which point the same chorus cries out for a new Coach. Rinse/repeat.

Did you see the scoring drive? He was under pressure for at least a few of those passes.

Most of the their yards was on the first and last possessions. D seems to be OK notwithstanding the lack of good tackling. O must stop with the stupid penalties. It changes everything especially the play calling.
-
How is it the QB's fault for multiple OL errors? On the fumbled snap Baba was LATE in snapping; half the line was moving before the ball left his hands.
-
Not ONE TIME has the D made the initial tackle. Lots of missed/broken tackles today.
-
Lots of WR's with catches. No Maag.
-
HUGE props to Tommy on that drive

They can not tackle Tice.

How does a WR have a false start on a run play?

This sucks

Is Niagara Falls akin to the football team playing Sioux Falls a few years ago?

The result of this games comes down to Strege's foot.

I know Kostis was a whipping boy for lots of us on this board, but his group has done a very nice job the last couple of seasons.

Ummmm...our D looked very good, but so was there's and I can't jump to any "put Bison defense to shame" conclusions.

2021 Game Day - NDSU vs UND at Alerus Center

Watching the Sunday night game reminds me of yesterday with the Pats taking the UND role. NO running game, limited pass protection so every play is a 5-7 yard pass and they are winning the 3rd 7-6. -

One more-their muffed punt return where it looked like 3 of our guys could have had it. -

Our receiver (Belquist) was 10 yards down field before any Bison moved. Immediately I looked for the flags for false start. -

After making the catch in the first Q, I don't recall Zavalney being targeted and I'm not sure how many sets he was in. Did he get banged up? -
Beer lines were no better. And...they could have doubled the number of porta potties outside and that still wouldn't have been enough.

IMO it wasn't Danny's play calling that cost us but the personnel for whom he was calling the plays. Again, the lack of a WR to stretch the field meant that we are going to have lots of 5-7 yard pass plays. As part of that, the lack of an OLine that can keep a QB on his feet for more than 3 seconds also impacts the play calling. We are still a class away from those types of players but... if this is a great Bison team we at least showed we can play with them.
