I think the worst thing they did was combining the girls and boys tournament together. I used to coach a while back and during the coaches meeting on Saturday morning the coach of the Grand Forks girls team was upset with the lack of atmosphere present in the REA main rink that his girls played in the day before. He thought it was better in the smaller olympic facility. Matt Malm, god rest his soul, actually at one point said that the boys tournament should be moved to Minot if scheduling and facilities were becoming an issue. The coaches don't like moving to different facilities, the players don't like it. Lets just split the two up again or play them on different weekends.

Sagard is right, even with the ice being halfways decent you'll see a really low scoring game. If Wisconsin could play every game outside on a chippy surface they would. Ohhh.....game is going to pick up. Minnesota power play.

Well the way things currently shake out I'm going to go out on a mini limb and say that UND has home ice just about taken care of with the way Wisconsin is playing and who they have left on their schedule. Splits on the road and a sweep at home=top three finish.

No.....that was up and down hockey. Or it was Minnesota having to dump the puck or take perimeter opportunities, while Wisconsin stacked four guys on the blue line, chipped it out, dumped it in Minnesota's end and had one guy forecheck the zone, while Minnesota broke it out, and dumped the puck again.
