  1. Duluth turning the puck over now. Fanti sharp as well.
  2. Short passing game just not there that first period. Scheel sharp, making saves he is supposed to make. Nice period by Keane. I like that kid.
  3. Penalty on us. Quick moving first period. Fourth line has contributed some shifts, good stuff.
  4. Reiger getting away with holding. Clutching and grabbing on the wall. And now we get a PP.
  5. No Gooch, go head first into the wall and hold your head. They'll call it a five, we promise....
  6. Why is the interference play where the d picks off the forward without the puck coming into the zone not ever a penalty on Duluth?
  7. Game day against Duluth. UND game at 12, Notre Dame at 3, SEC championship at 7..... My gosh.....it almost feels normal....
  8. Nenow from Jamestown scored the Mike Legg goal last night against Century. I've seen a couple highlight goals from him, and only a Soph.
  9. You wonder. Both got the short end of the stick on their senior years. Wonder if Thome sticks around, if so they wouldn't have to worry about bringing in another goalie.
  10. Completely agree. Can we really roll into next year with Scheel/Feeney/Johnson? We would be a heartbeat away from what Western Michigan is going through. Gotta pick up a goalie recruit somewhere. Late bloomer 21 year old freshman a likely scenario.
  11. If a kid has his head down now its off limits. You can do everything right, and it's head contact.
  12. Its not worth it to make a big hit anymore. If any part of your shoulder gets near their head its a major, and especially so if the guy decides to hold his head and stay down on the ice. You can't tell me there aren't kids that head out on the ice with the intention of drawing majors if they are hit on the wall. Turn late, head into boards, get up slow. Half the d men actually grab guys as they are checking them into the end wall and holding them up so they don't flail into the wall and boom there is your major penalty.
  13. Team Germany just had half their team test positive for the Rona. I'm sure all will be retested, but not a great start for de bubble de Edmonton. Also some Swede staff members. Good news though for Austria and Germany is no relegation this year so they can both get killed and not worry about moving down. More good news is that all the officials are Canadian, which hopefully means no ticky tack European officials penalty crap we've gotten used to for years.
  14. HAH! We are taking this down to the Albrecht's and Ness' of the world! I pick Hain this round, so no goal tomorrow for him.
  15. So far I've got us in 2nd place starting game threads. A bit disappointed, but who had Frisch getting hurt and Kleven going to the WJC? Anyways, my insiders at undsports.com tell me this is the last time we play Duluth during the regular season, so it'd be nice to get three points and say see ya in March. If we turn the puck over the amount we did against SCSU its good afternoon real quick. High off the glass/chip and chase to neutral just isn't a sexy play anymore. Sad, but true. As we learned against SCSU a miss play/turnover on the wall can end up in our net in roughly 2 passes or 3 seconds of time. I see Scheel playing well, and the boys putting in a grind it out effort. I see more OT though. 2-2 OT tie, and @Dave Berger can tell us who wins in the extra session.
  16. Miami out working Denver. I like it.
  17. Most of my concern is with not being able to play them in the third period after SCSU tied it up. Keane did play some big minutes on the major penalty kill, so maybe that prevented them from getting another shift.
  18. Biggest concern I have coming out of this game other than turning the puck over is line 4. With the TV timeouts this shouldn't be a big deal, but at the time UND just can't regularly put their fourth line on the ice in a close game. I think Keane has had a great start, but you can see the deer in the headlights look with Ness and Albrecht. When Judd and Blaisdell get back this won't be an issue, but Saturday with Duluth will be a tight three line game, and then you've got Miami Sunday night which will need to be all hands on deck after Duluth the day before. I don't see the lines changing at all for Duluth, but they may have to against Miami.
  19. COME ON @siouxfaninseattle!!!!! End the misery!!!! PICK A WINNER!!!! Round 10 pick.....sigh.......Hain
