Hate on Hermantown for not jumping up to AA, but I'd rather see them in the A ranks to combat the private schools in that division. Gentry needs to head to Shattuck's world.

Epic game. Kids on both teams that could be playing junior hockey but the opportunity to play in the state tournament has them sticking in high school. Got a little sloppy in the third period, but high end hockey for most of the game.

Dodge County beating Little Falls makes it that much more impressive the effort that Hermantown's JV put in against them.

Boy, would be fun to watch Hermantown play Gentry.

Not putting this on the EGF goalie, but how do they not have a better guy in their program? Heard from people all year it was goaltending that was the killer.

Ummmm.....coaching staff.......goalies.....goalies. Hedquist just turned 18 playing in the USHL, at least one more year, but not a great year stats wise for him. I've seen Kaleb play and the kid is a competitor. Okay numbers in the NA, not great, but serviceable. Portal goalie it is......

Crazy game one loss for the Twins. Touted defense.....should of had 4 errors. Touted offense.....strikes out 17 times. At least they play 162. Ohh and Donaldson is hurt everyone......surprise.......Arraez now the every day 3B and Cave moves to LF I'm guessing. The Twins letting guys go up there and swing away against Hader was a joke. I mean, lefties aren't going to make contact against the guy, so why not at least try a bunt with Arraez? I know he's one of our best hitters, but Hader is just too good against left handed hitting.

Agreed on much of your post. If they don't go looking for a defenseman in the portal I'd assume that Johnson would be coming in next season to put them at 7 guys on the back end. If they found a way to get Gabe Bast to stay they'd be fine going into next season on D.

Seems now the ball is in Thome's court. Can't imagine Feeney or Johnson being on scholarship, so I'd guess if Thome is back he's the full scholarship goalie. Part of getting these portal kids will be available scholarship dollars. Obviously the better ones in the portal will require at least partial scholarships.
