  1. Hak's comments from media day yesterday made it sound like they were going to focus the next three weeks on getting everyone prepared for the grind of the season. I guess I would take that to mean they will be looking to get players' roles established for the long-term, not in a makeshift manner to account for the suspensions.
  2. It sure would be nice to be able to rip on each other based on happenings "on the field" instead of off it, wouldn't it?
  3. For sure. How many consecutive frozen fours did they make, and lose in, before they finally got it done against us in 2001 (in what appeared destined to be another failure for them after we'd tied it up late)? They certainly have things figured out now after that tough stretch. As a UND fan, seeing how many lumps they took before exhibiting the type of domination they have the last 10 years gives me hope that we could be on a similar path. Other than the F4 loss to Michigan, the loss that sits with me the most is the '99 regional final in Madison against BC. I was one of the mere 2k in attendance that Sunday. Longest. Drive. Home. Ever.
  4. Reading the comments section on this link it is apparent the first base side will be attacked twice by UND.
  5. Better find out if they allow readmission. Also, some venues allow readmission only if you get stamped on your way out. If you have a ticket but no stamp you're SOL. Best to find out the policy before trying to sell/buy between games. Could end badly for a Sioux fan.
  6. He will replace Anthony LaPanta, who did PbP last year and moved on to do Wild broadcasts.
  7. Last I checked WMU and Miami will be members of the NCHC and they're on the schedule. The NCHC and CBS Sports already have a solid relationship based on the upcoming contract for 2013/14. If there is any blame to go around it may lie with the WCHA.
  8. I don't know who controls the content, but could it be possible the WCHA just said "thanks but no thanks" to CBS Sports when (if) they were approached about airing games?

    NCHC

I agree. Let's see how things come together before labeling this a failure. I'm sure Adam was influenced to call games how the WCHA wanted them called. We don't know for sure if he necessarily agreed with those mandates. We shall see a year from now.
  10. I hope they're just using this as an opportunity to send a message, and that there isn't more to the story. Maybe the administration is looking at this in the context of the garbage that has transpired at BU and they want to send a clear message that they are in control of the institution.
  11. I've never been denied tickets the day they go on sale for any of the trips I've made (Duluth, Wisconsin, Denver, Mankato, Minnesota, SCSU). Most, if not all, road games are cheaper than UND. I really enjoy watching UND on the road. I live near the Cities and I used to "commute" to GF when I had season tickets; but once we had kids that just wasn't practical. Most of the road games are closer, actually! Wisconsin, Omaha, and Duluth (old DECC, havent' been to new) are my favorites, in no particular order. Mankato is a fun one as well.

    UND @ UNO

The e-mail I received from the UNO ticket office stated "Friday indoor North Dakota game tickets will go on sale closer to Thanksgiving with the rest of our 2013 games."

    UND @ UNO

UNO might do things similar to Wisco where they sell first half tickets earlier than second half tickets. I e-mailed their ticket office this morning, and I hope to hear back shortly. Tickets for the outdoor game are being sold through the Omaha Sports Commission, and will go on sale Oct. 1 per their website. Not sure what vendor/system they will use for ticket sales, though. I'll post if I hear any more info.
  14. Make sure to use instant oats - they're "mushier" and blend into the meat better. Cook them before adding to the meat.
  15. Cook up a bit of instant oatmeal and add it to the burger.
  16. As long as the QB has time to make his reads...
  17. I agree. Go as generic as possible. Don't even try using Miracle Whip...too tangy. I've basically tried this same recipe and it gets pretty close. I used whole milk & LOTS of black pepper.
  18. You can watch it if you subscribe to the premium version of the North Dakota app ($3.99). I decided to give it a go this year to have access to all the Video-on-Demand. So far I'm happy with it.
  19. Instead of directly drawing attention to Bison FB players in this Community Forum, I suppose we could just change the name of this thread to "ND Election Fraud" to make the BV people feel better.
  20. I would second this...especially for the kids. The food is pretty good, too.
  21. The TVs were getting up there in age...hopefully it's part of a larger HD upgrade.
  22. To clarify - I wasn't necessarily penciling Mitch in the top-6 as much as I was saying maybe Mark would be the guy to drop out of the top-6 given the potential additions of O'Donnell and Grimaldi to that group. I'm guessing when it's all said and done It pretty much all comes down to who they want to play up the middle and then they'll go from there. I'm pretty damn excited to see how this upcoming season plays out!
  23. Didn't Mark and Mitch MacMillan reportedly have good chemistry together in juniors? Who's to say they wont get a shot to play together after the break? I liked the way the Mac, Parks, Rowney line played last season, but it seems to me that there may be a benefit on a couple different fronts to breaking them up.
  24. Not quite...and it would depend on what you're measuring. By definition, MEDIAN is the point where half of your distribution will be above and half below. Only in a pure normal distribution will half the population be above and below the MEAN or AVERAGE. Now, If you're measuring wins and losses, in the long run half the teams will likely be above .500 and half below. But, if you're talking national championships, the average number of titles per team is 65/58 = 1.12 Only 14 teams have actually won more than 1.12 titles, therefore 14 teams are "above average" and the rest are below.
