  1. I am just referring to paying $20 to park in the ramp with the shuttle service as it was. I'm curious what some would be willing to pay because clearly they're not charging enough (assuming the demand is there) if they can't make it work financially. How high would you be willing to go to have covered parking and a ride to the front door every game?
  2. If the break-even point was $20/night to have a shuttle bus (assuming no drop-off in users), would you pay it?

    New TV Deal

According to this, there is a deal in place with Hockey East. http://www.hockeyeas...media/nbcsn.php However, reading more into it, they may have separate deals with both Notre Dame and Hockey east, because the HEA agreement only specifies up to 12 games over the next two years. Those games are probably aside from what they've already contracted to do with Notre Dame. Edit: Further searching backs the above statement: http://www.und.com/sports/m-hockey/spec-rel/101113aab.html

    New TV Deal

Have you seen how heavily weighted the NBC sports "Hockey East" schedule is toward Notre Dame? I'm sure everyone on here currently complaining about the CBS Sports deal would be so happy to have Notre Dame featured on 12 of the 17 broadcasts if they were in the NCHC.
  5. I don't think the effort is terrible... Just a couple bad breaks, and shaky officiating.
  6. This announcer sucks and Rico is a whiner.
  7. Miami site shows 7 central.
  8. Yep, I saw that. Love his intensity - something the Twins haven't had in a few years. I don't think it's a mere coincidence they didn't win a single playoff series after they traded him. Heck, in all the playoff series post AJ they only won one or two GAMES!
  9. Miami's site lists 8:00 EDT, 7:00 Central.
  10. I thought Miami really pushed the pace early, and I was worried if UND would be able to match it. After that early PK they stepped it up and played to Miami's pace. I think this really helped our guys do what you described above - play without over-thinking things. I noticed a lot of good, instinctive play out there last night.
  11. I'd guess a 9-2 whooping is more than goaltending!
  12. Nice effort by the boys. Liked how they handled the last 5 minutes of the game. I thought they were positionally sound for the most part- more than I'm used to seeing over the past few years.
  13. Sorry, but when a guy wheels around the net untouched and fires it through all the pylons watching it's probably tough for a net minder to stay with it. Seriously, the entire team just coasted for the last 3 minutes of the period. Ugh!
  14. Miami's team is too young, especially on D, to handle the pressure of being the #1 team in a nationally televised game. UND has nothing to lose and will play loose. I like our chances!
  15. I'm happy they have at least seemingly acknowledged the err of their ways after three years with Ponder. Some GMs can be stubborn and go down with the ship. Tarvaris Jackson, anyone?
  16. Just curious, why is the "we're young" angle being taken here? Miami: SR - 2, JR - 8, SO - 11, FR - 6 UND: SR - 4, JR - 7, SO - 7, FR - 8 Miami has zero SR D and 1 JR. UND has 1 SR and 2 JRs Both teams have relied on underclassmen to carry the mail offensively. Why can't we go in there and beat 'em?
  17. A. J. is one of my all-time favorite Twins. They lost their "winner" when they traded him.
  18. But, despite some leagues having shootout and some not, the result counts the same in the PWR - a tie. In order to maintain continuity between leagues for PWR, the format of OT has to be consistent. What if the B1G was the only league using the 4X4 OT format, and we were fighting for the last at-large bid with Minnesota? What if they were able to beat a common opponent at home in OT because they were used to playing by their league rules and not the standard 5x5 OT? What if they were able to get a PP in OT and have a 4x3 advantage instead of a 5x4? It wouldn't be a level playing field if some leagues were to use 4x4 and others not.
  19. I'm sure you would need the entire NCAA to buy off on a 4X4 OT, not just the NCHC. For the Pairwise, not all ties (or OT wins for that matter) would be created equal if one league were to use a 4X4 OT.
  20. Yes. I think the Freeman signing was an indirect admission that they missed big time on Ponder. Now, with the season pretty much shot, they need to see what they have in Freeman for the foreseeable future. It's likely Ponder will not see the field again in purple.
  21. That is my understanding. There is no app that is native specifically to the Apple TV box, so it is not directly the same as Netflix. However, if you have the UND sports app on your ipad you can "airplay" it via your wireless network to the apple TV box, which will then display it on your connected TV.

  23. It bothers me when people complain about paying high prices for what most would consider "luxury items."

    Fools!

It's funny how some on this forum want the supposed power over the NCHC that they felt the Gophers had (and probably b$tched about) on the WCHA.

The CBS Sports contract is with the NCHC...it does not trump all of college hockey. Hockey East has a deal with NBC Sports. Since UND is playing at BU, it can be aired on NBC sports per their Hockey East contract. If it was a UND home game, then it would likely have to be aired on CBS Sports if it were to be aired nationally.
