Baby Steps!

All I want is a small bad government instead of the current big bad government.

Hasn't it been government restrictions that have limited the ability to refine oil and make it much more difficult to build new refineries? All these restrictions were in place long before GW was elected.

You don't like the idea of the government putting a cap on what we buy that's fine but it shouldn't be OK to limit one item and not another. The oil companies are to blame for a lot of the prices even though they claim it's all supply and demand which is complete BS. I work around a lot of people in the oil business and prices skyrocket in the summer months because they know people will pay them or lose a family vacation among other things. These oil companies are all setting profit records and everyone are these companies are getting a fat bonus every quarter. I understand fuel costs have and should go up, but it is BS that they are going to end up 2 dollars higher per gallon in the summer compared to the winter. I agree that people should probably use less fuel, but gas prices don't match up globally. The prices went through the roof during Katrina and Rita because refineries had to be shut down, what's the excuse for the high prices this summer?

What's up with Jake Caufield? He looked good a season ago and was apparently hurt this past season. Is something wrong, or will he be a player next season?

Good players can be found anywhere, you just have a lot more of them to pick from in a place like TX.

You might be correct, but I think the coaches that are selected to coach the game pick the players they want so a west coach will likely go with more player from the west and the same goes for an eastern coach. The year I played we were able to win the game and even though we had some big name players from the east the western kids were overall better players that year. I am not saying that is typical, but one season the majority of the best players will come from the west and the next year it might be the east. The year before I played in the game the ND team got destroyed and the only player that was able to accomplish much for ND in that game was Greg Caro.

As a player, it was a lot more fun playing in the Badlands Bowl. Not to mention the ND players on the badlands bowl teams can come from anywhere so the team is actually a lot better than a shrine game team. I speaking based upon the ND team, not the opposing team.

This game is far better than the shrine game in terms of players and the quality of the teams. This would be like comparing the senior bowl and hula bowl at the collegiate level. Do they still have the Down Under Bowl?

I can't remember the details but I think it's a bragging rights game that started when 2 brothers, one living in ND and the other in Montana both thought there respective state played better high school football. I should remember the names of the brothers because I met them when I played in the game, but its been awhile. These brothers wanted to find out which state played better football so they went to work organizing the game.

I haven't been able to watch much hockey lately and it's very difficult to watch the game tonight. The officiating is brutal! Basically you can abuse a guy any way you want and as long as he's willing to fight it and not dive it won't be a penalty, but fall down when someone touches you and a penalty will be called.

This is a very big recruiting class, especially because it UND has never listed any of the invited or try out walk on's in the past. These 20 are all getting some money for school and UND still has 2 offers on the table, that's a lot of scholarship being flung around.

Red River has the classiest and most humble fans in the world. The thought of being around all those A holes again makes me very glad I got away from GF.

I thought it was pretty funny that Art Bryles shot the gophers down and wouldn't even agree to an interview. You would think a chance to jump from conference USA to the Big 10 would at least get him to interview.

Compared to the days of Wacker, they are all good teams.

It's always interesting to read opinions on things like this. Bohl is a very good coach and to me reading that board is funny because of all football programs and fans out there, the Goofer fans are being elitest and taking the we are better than you attitude. Great coaches don't have to have name recognition to be good successful programs, but don't tell that to the UM crowd who apparently want a big name coach even if he does a terrible job. Every team and University has some clueless and flat out stupid fans, but it appears the goofs have more than most. Hell they were all calling for Mason's head, but he actually had more success at Minnesota than Wacker did. I think he probably needed to be bought out or fired after this season but he wasn't nearly as bad a coach as most of the UM fans think or claim. Maybe the goofs should try and bring Denny Green back to the Twin Cities?

Normally I agree that the SEC is the best D1 football conference, but it certainly isn't the case this season. The SEC is down some this year.

Sad thing is that Testicular Cancer typically does happen when men are fairly young.

The Sioux did come out hot, but Elliot can keep Wisconsin in almost any game and did it last night. It isn't Haks fault that his goalie continues to get his ass out of position. Unless the goaltending gets better, this season is stuck in a downward spiral.

I know this is really immature but, a group needs to get together and give these people a beat down.

The NFL network has been having college score updates on Saturdays all football season. I guess they figure NFL fans want to look at and hear about the future NFL players as well.
