In this game Minot was also missing a couple of there better players, so that might help a little as well.
-
It was also the first game of the season, and you assume a Wapaton team that got handled by Minot would be a better game for South? You are just trying to start some $h!t, when it isn't called for at all. Nobody on here even predicted a Minot High win, just a better showing than the first game of the season. South is obviously the overwhelming favorite in the game, but if they underestimate Minot they could knocked off. It's not likely, but anything can happen and I think the first game results will work against south. I remember my Jr year of high school we beat St. Mary's 45 - 7 in the regular season, only to overlook them in the playoff semifinals that year and lose to them by 7.
-
Congrats Rutgers!, that was a fun game to watch.

So what would occur if UND doesn't get the injuction, and they make it to the semi's of the playoffs and are supposed to play Newberry?

It seems most people like yourself just can't see the big picture. If you don't like the play calling during a game look to Mussman, but remember he is doing his job trying to run a ball control offense which is the offensive philosophy that fits into Coach Lennons Overall football philosophy. Many try to blame Mussman for UND offensive philosophy but really you should be looking at Lennon instead.
-
Because that's how Coach Lennon has set the team up. The offense isn't wide open like Augie because UND wants to control the ball, play field position, and have the defense dominate. If you have a problem with the offense some blame can be pushed to Mussman, but he is only doing the job the head coach wants him to do. If that wasn't the case I am sure he would have been replaced long ago.
-
The funny thing to me is that most of the stuff people blame on Mussman isn't even his doing. I am sure the football philosophy of the team and how the offense is run has nothing to do with the head coach
-
Do you really think Mussnan is the coach that decides if UND should go for it on 4th down? I understand everyone loves Coach Lennon, but it's not fair to put his decisions on other coaches. Not to mention it is the correct call to punt on 4th and short with a big lead in the ball game. My opinion is the UND players got comfortable with a big lead at the half and had an obvious let up in the 2nd half of the game.
-
UNO is up 21 -17 on SCSU with about 6 minutes left. UNO scored on a blocked punt to take the lead.
-
USD scored to make it 31 - 20 (they missed the Xtra point)
-
Apparently the UND offense decided to take the 2nd half of the game off.

I am not saying pull Belmore, just that I would like to see what Freund can do. If the blowout holds, I think it would be nice to see what type of player he is.
-
That's what I was getting at, I should probably finish my thoughts when typing on a message board.
-
I don't disagree, but I would like to see what kind of QB Freund is going to be. He really hasn't had any play time at UND. I am only saying that if the blowout continues we might get a look at him, not that I want Belmore out of the game.
-
I am glad he's playing well, but I don't have the confidence in him that I have in Manke. The Best thing here is we might actually get a little action by Freund to see what he can do and what the future of UND looks like.

I wonder how Stein did in the UND/NDSU Microsoft Bowl?

Because they deserve the credit and if you can't see that you are blind and absolutely clueless about the sport of football.

This person is obviously a Bison fan in disguise. Go back to Bisonville and talk about how you guys think you could win the BCS. In the meantime, try hosting a playoff game.

I recorded the game and will likely go back and watch it. I am a UND guy, but I really wanted NDSU to kick the Gophers butts up and down the field. NDSU pretty much did that for the most part. Moved the ball offensively very consistantly and held MN rushing game in check. NDSU should have won the game, but a couple key mistakes and not being able to punch the ball in at least once when they were down inside the 20. I was kind of hoping to see a FG fake at some point, especially with how low the ball was coming off the kickers foot. I was pretty much waiting for a kick to get blocked because the ball was getting over the LOS so low, it stinks that it happeded on the game winning attempt though. Congrats to the NDSU and it's fans on a hard fought game, I was really impressed with the Bison football team. I thought your LB's were very good and the team was extremely well coached on both sides of the ball. I like the offense, it's the first time I have seen NDSU play in quite a while so it was a new look for me. Steffes is and great RB, but the player I was most impressed with during the game was Kole Heckendorf. I thought he was great except I wish he would have tried for more yardage instead of stepping out of bounds a few times. The best thing for the NDSU teams is that they are very good, but also pretty dang young. The Bison will have a lot of returning starters next season off a very good football team.

You know Granville has much better street dances, especially if you are a minor.

It's funny, I went to college in Grand Forks but I hated the town itself. I would pick pretty much anywhere over Grand Forks for the best town in ND.
